TORTOISE TANKS Humiliated Russia using ‘mobile sheds’ to protect dwindling tank force in bid to stop Ukraine drones raining hell

Watch footage of the bizarre tanks ploughing through the battlefield.

PUTIN'S failing forces have resorted to using bizarre mobile sheds on the battlefield in an attempt to withstand Ukrainian kamikaze drones.

Russian tanks have appeared underneath turtle shell-like cages after it was revealed that a humiliated Putin has lost almost all of the tanks he had when he began his brutal invasion of Ukraine.

Strange footage shows a row of ageing Russian tanks trawling through fields under the steel covers.

The odd-shaped metal blanket appears to be designed to shield Putin's dwindling fleet from Ukrainian onslaught.

Up close clips show that they cover almost the entire tank, leaving a gap at the front for the turret to fire at enemy troops.

Ah yes, the great fortress of chasov yar, much like fortress avdiivka.

The live map will likely show it eighteen hours before the media admits “something happened”.

So avdiivka is liberated, right?

If being under the control of Russia is being liberated, then, you don't know what the hell liberty is.

But, has Russia ever liberated anything?

And, what Russia holds today, won't be in their control for too long. Your wishes for a reconstitution of the old Soviet Union won't be happening any time soon, and perhaps never. Look to China as your next 'liberator', since Russia is done for.

I’m not the one who said “Russia takes one step forward and two steps back. IOW, what Russia gains today, they lose tomorrow. Have you noticed?” in post 98.
So I asked if Avdiivka was liberated.
It must be for your assertion in post 98 to be correct.

Take care!

I think tho Russia has attrition numbers on their side. They are NOT in drivers sear here IF the West decides to get off their ass and really REALLY out produce them in artillery shells, pieces, tubes, and especially drones of every kind.

Yet a Freeper managed to cite Nitter, because of a mirror in KN and then doubled down. This stuff being passed around is all "war porn" used in place of argument and citations. Thanks for the link. Best wishes.

Avdeyevka, Artymovsk, Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, Mariupol, and the Azov steel plant were of no strategic importance. Only Keeve is of strategic importance because it is home to the Elensky hobbit hole.

Should Ukraine liberate a pile of rubble, does a city magically reappear and become a liberated city?

Give Ukraine everything but nukes and Russia wins handily. Give them nukes and there is a mutually destructive tie where nobody wins.

Ukraine has a manpower shortage. Ukraine needs more bodies and Russia is not even mobilized.

The West cannot just get off its ass and double or quadruple production. Production is by private companies. They cannot just multiply their production facilities without a firm and long term purchase commitment. The conflict will be over before they could increase their facilities and double their manpower with skilled people.

I suspect you are correct about manpower and mobilization discrepancies. The war there may indeed be over effectively, before the West manages parity or superiority in materiel production numbers.
Would any of it have made a difference sooner? Unknown.
I believe there are still some surprises to cone here.

Dumb question.

Even it's a shithole, and completely demolished, it's still Ukrainian land, and the rights to it belongs with the Ukrainians. Russia is the invader; remember that?

I believe that the result of a war between Russia and Ukraine is not unknown; it is a foregone conclusion. Russia declared a Special Military Operation for a support engagement regarding its obligations under the mutual defense agreements it has with DPR and LPR. It has not fully mobilized.

The propaganda from both sides is unreliable, wth a lot of it being less reliable than Baghdad Bob. It is known that Russia has a massive advantage in the air. It is also known that Russia has a massive advantage in artillery and shells. For now, Russia enjoys a massive advantage in air defense. As far as navies go, Russia has one. Damage inflicted by both sides occurs almost exclusively within Ukraine or what used to be Ukraine.

I know of no reliable and assuredly accurate casualty figures. I do know that when one side has the advantages Russia has, the other side is going to take a lot of casualties. The 31,000 KIA figure cited by Zelensky is beyond laughable. The purported kill ratio greatly favoring Ukraine is also ridiculous. When the conflict ends, and the true figures come out, Zelensky will be in exile or he will be executed by the Ukrainian people.

The best estimate of KIA will come after the fighting ends and the men do not come home.

It was a hypothetical. In reality, to the victor goes the spoils. It matters not who was in the right. Politics failed and any differences are now being settled by military means. Mexico has not gotten back the Southwest of the United States. Spain has not gotten Gibraltar. Argentina has not gotten back the Falkland/Malvinas islands. When a matter is settled by military force, might makes right.

Should a miracle occur and Ukraine regain some town destroyed by the Russians, it is worse than finding bare land. When it has been pounded at length by bombs and artillery, the underground infrastructure is destroyed. There needs to be removal of all the old before there can start to be a new. And Ukraine has no money and lost half its population.

It has nothing to do with the way things ought to be. Ukraine is being destroyed and Ukraine has little hope of regaining anything it has lost. If/when it loses Odesa, it has slim hope of surviving as a nation state. It's charm offensive never succeeded with its neighbors. When allowed access to transport its goods through, but not into, Poland, its goods appeared on the Polish market and then the Poles shut the border and dumped Ukrainian goods on the side of the road. Should it lose its sole seaport, it will have to charm one of its neighbors to permit imports and exports. For rebuilding funds it could ask buddy can you spare me a trillion? Or the more Ukrainian approach might be give us a trillion or we are going to blow up the Zaphorizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP).

How is this that much different than the multitudes of slat armor installations on armaments all over the world?

Because the Russians are doing it?
