Yes, any garden is toast if under the total eclipse.

It will attract to negative photons from the sun and come streaming to the earth .

The truth is out now. Yes, the eclipse will carve a swath of non-flaming death across the country, turning everyone underneath into a zombie and the plants to ambulatory man-eating carnivores who do not respect pronouns. In large parts of the country, however, that’s pretty much business as usual anyway. Anyone who denies this is one of Them.

Not sure about the eclipse, but we had an unusual Late Freeze over the weekend and it killed most of my garden that I planted 2 weeks ago.
The lack of basic reasoning ability is gonna kill the garden long before and eclipse does.
Don’t know about your garden but I suspect
all the Pussy Willows will be gone.
My mom lives in the total eclipse track and has been hyping it for over a year. But that’s just because she is always alert for any excuse to have a family reunion. She has drummed up a fair number of takers from the far reaches of the clan. I refuse to have anything to do with it for the same reason the local public authorities are freaking out. They expect eleventy-seven bazillion sightseers, two thirds of them without food or lodging, out of gas, half of them drunk, and camping out on every scrap of ground not protected by an electric fence. A lot of them will, despite warnings, expect to drive in, see the eclipse, and drive home that night. That’s not going to work.
I also heard the Weeping Willows
and the Pussy Willows may be gone.
Bill Gates would like that. Global warming you know.
Probably only if the black-eyed Susans look at it directly.
