Before she was a nurse, my daughter was an EMT for a fire station - Loudon County VA.

One day, the station got a call from the control tower at Dulles airport. Just before takeoff, some passenger had a mental breakdown like the lady here. She got in the ambulance with her partner and they drove out onto the tarmac. The guy was on something. She, her partner, and two cops had to restrain him and get him off the plane.

I asked her what happened to the guy, but she didn’t know. The job of an ambulance EMT is to just stabilize and deliver the patient. Once checked in, they return to the station. Her guess was bath salts or spice.

I guess the airlines can’t always control drugs, but they serve alcohol in the airport. I’ve never flown, so I don’t know why people under the influence seem to freak out so often on airplanes; but it’s happening an awful lot.

Looks like more than alcohol was involved - that or she is severly mentally ill and needs to be locked up (instead these people are released onto the streets).

I’ve told my family to NEVER book Spirit Airlines, I don’t care how cheap they are.
