EVs are really heavy compared to their gas-powered brethren.
The heavy battery packs that power the electric motors in electric cars and enable their long trips between charging sessions tend to be the culprit of bloated EVs, which concerns Stellantis (STLA) CEO Carlos Tavares.

Heavy batteries are a physics problem that can be fixed.
I love the old Dodges, but it was widely known that while the drivetrains were generally reliable, the front ends, particularly the ball joints, were wanting, and often gave out prematurely.
I would hate to think what a ton of batteries would do to a Dodge Dart front end, possibly rip the torsion bars right out.

It’s entertaining to me that the heavy EVs shred tires leading to even more micro plastics in the environment.
Sadly, I think one of our local HEB stores is building a strip of EV charging stations. They are going to force EVs on us whether we want them or not.

I propose attaching helium balloons to each EV to balance things out.
Will get vastly worse with heavy EV trucks that jut won’t carry the loads our present diesel trucks do. I wonder how Joe did in high school physics.

Parking garages have a useful lifespan. Older parking garages have to reduce traffic regardless of EVs parking in them. EVs will just speed up the process..
It is a problem that need not exist. The simplest solution is to forget EVs and recognize that ICE vehicles are far preferable.
