Yes— that has happened to good people— because they didn’t know the details of the “minimum” THC allowed into these products if they don’t certify there is NONE in them. Very few companies provide the Chemical Assay, called a COA for their products without THC.

DEA minimums for manufacture and distribution is one thing, and lab values from correct screens can detect the THC. No doctor should recommend to pilots or others subject to stringent test screens— gummies with THC. Really a shame what this fella is going through. But does show the truth about THC, a psychoactive agent listed on DEA Schedule list.

CBD is an anti inflammatory and an anti epileptic. It won’t do anything for smoking cessation.

Mild THC will help with withdrawal symptoms.

Had a client who lost his job with a federal contractor because of medical marijuana use. The feds preferred he use opiates.

They were randomly tested

I have never heard of hospital workers, school workers or federal agency workers being tested.

All also accept fed funding.

Drug tests generally test for any/all cannabinoids, and CBD is a cannabinoid.

I'm reminded annually in the company ethics training and security refreshers that any use of marijuana or CBD is prohibited for cleared employees. If you ignore that, you are one drug test away from losing your clearance and probably your employment.

I worked on a contract in 2017 that required very complex software engineering for aircraft flight performance. We were looking for another software engineer for the team. One applicant admitted up front that he was a regular user of marijuana. That ended his consideration for the contract. There is no way we want to be responsible for splashing an aircraft and having to explain that a software error was introduced by a marijuana using developer.

With few exceptions, employers in California are not allowed to test form marijuana as a condition of employment and can’t fire or refuse to hire for a positive test.

I just had my gallbladder removed on March 28th. I was prescribed 10 tablets with hydrocodone and acetaminophen for pain. I used 2 tablets. Once on the evening of March 29th. Another on March 30th. No need for more. My next surgical encounter is April 10th. I don't want anything left in my system before they use propafol for my next endoscopy.
