Does anyone have a clue as to why PDJT appointed the long-time CIA operative, Barr (a principal in the CIA’s massive, Mena Arkansas drug smuggling operation in the ‘80s) into his administration?
As always, it falls on the person that the Senate says they will vote for.

One more reason to believe that when Trump wins, the Senate will be handcuffed in some [military?] way.
Maybe, he will need to appoint a General JAG as AG?
Looks like some kind of backroom deal was made. Trump wasn’t permitted a functioning Attorney General. Barr was taken on as Attorney General to replace compromised Jeff Sessions and quicky end the Russia hoax investigation and then ignore election malfeasance as payment in kind.
Clue about Barr? Yup, at least partly: Barr was already retired when Trump was elected. Barr’s kids were still in school studying to be Liars, er, Lawyers, and such, and they wanted to remain in and about the Beltway. Barr put himself out for rent by saying he wanted to make the Krapitol Komplex a safe place for the kids to work. At a glance it seemed he meant he wanted to help clean up Beltway corruption. Turns out what he really meant was that he wanted to thoroughly bury the corruption so it wouldn’t shine back on him and his kids would be rewarded for being good little complyers. I expect by now his kids are gainfully employed in the Bidum krime fambly complex?
I do not - but one thing I am sure of: the Mueller scam would have continued on ad nauseum except that Wm Barr put a stop to it AND stopped the 'obstruction of Justice' investigation that would have also dragged on.
Also, Barr testified to Congress that the govt DID SPY on the Trump campaign, stimulating gasps from the mentally challenged but privileged Dems questioning him.
Why he turned out the way that he did is beyond my ken.❓
