People are stupid.

Regardless: “Creamed corn thread”.

I call this stuff “Cajun Crack”.

Try it sometime (it’s 10x better if you make your own Cajun seasoning).

Slightly off topic (my usual) but Cream of Wheat has no milk in it unless someone adds it.

Name came from the Bible:

It is He Who makes your borders peaceful, and with the cream of the wheat He sates you.
- Psalms 147:14

You’ve never had creamed corn, then, cooked by someone who knows what he’s doing.

Sixty-five years ago, we made this at Girl Scout camp sitting around the campfire. One girl would chop the onions, another the peppers, another the bacon. Someone else would gather the firewood and get the fire going. At the time, this concoction was called Ring-Tum-Ditty.

Creamed corn with added protein.

Wait until you find out what the FDA allows in other processed food products.

Latin, Esperanto and Klingon are all artificial languages.

Esperanto and Klingon, sure, but Latin evolved from earlier languages. It's no more artificial than English.

When I was young my mom served creamed corn. My napkin and the corn would have intimate relations. I strangely think I would like it now.

You are talking about the corn ear worm. They are good sized and are washed off in any canning process. Maturity of corn in whole kernel vs creamed is simply because more ripe corn is tougher but grades high enough to be creamed.

I beg to differ. The complex grammar, designed to accurately locate events in time, combined with the accurate reporting of indirect discourse, reflect a construction superior to other languages.

“Corn Bake:”

Been making this for years but leave out the swiss cheese and add some sugar and more butter.

My friends love it and it’s a must bring to our pitch in lunch get togethers.
