The left even corrupts science when they get involved.

The effects of exposure (to anything: radiation, toxins, visible light, sound, etc.) all operate according to a sigmoidal curve. At the bottom left side of the curve, small exposures have unnoticeable effects. As the exposures increase, the effects increase very slowly. But at some point, there is an inflection at which the effects and the exposure have a linear relationship. This continues for some time until the system becomes saturated. At this point, another inflection occurs and increasing the exposure further has hardly any effect. The inflection point is where the curve changes direction.
Just about all biological processes follow this curve.

Saw the headline and wasn’t sure if this was about global warming or the WuFlu.

Menton mostly left out the politics. As we saw in the COVID response, even here on FR, fearmongering works and, once fear gets a foothold, even normally rational people resist abandoning their discredited positions. So, it’s not all about grant chasing. It’s a weakness in human nature.

Just to add on, the Guyana president schooled an inept reporter when the reported chastised him for drilling for oil and gas, and “creating 2 billion tons of co2” oh my!
The president said in response “our forests take in 90 GIGATONS” of co2”
That makes ehat looked like a large amount, 2 billion tons, insignicantly small in comparison to what forests absorb- infact, the 2 billion tons is insignificant- a tiny fraction of the 90 gigatons!
2 billion tons is nothing! It is easily taken care of with a massive amount of reserves to spare! Even 200 billion tons is nothing compared to the massive amounts of forests that cover the planet. We could create many many times the amount of co2 and still be nowhere near full capacity of the forests absorption powers!

"...one of the reasons that these great scientists created such fears was to advance their careers and to get a constant flow of government grant monies."That's it in a nutshell. That perfectly describes the Global Warming Scam, too. The Global Warming Scam continues to ensure a big government grant money flow to "researchers," but it also got so big that you can make fortunes peddling nostrums like wind turbines, solar cells, and EVs. It has become a huge industry.

#2. John Kerry
Both continue to do damage to the concept of freedom. Both are charlatans, grifters, and crooks, imo.

"The LNT hypothesis theorizes that if a chemical or phenomenon is established as dangerous at some dosage, no matter how high, then it must also be dangerous at small dosages, no matter how tiny."OK, how about water? And salt? Iron? Magnesium? Iodine? Zinc, Copper, Manganese?
All are toxic in high doses but you cannot live with out them.

...without the alterations, lacks support in the raw data. One can go further. It even lacks support in the altered data.
The fraudsters are playing a tricky game. They need way more warming to match their models. But the more alterations they make the more likely they are to be called out on it.
