I’m glad my time their was when there was still some sanity. I lived among the salt of the earth in the big valley and only visited the places of my California dreaming. Last time I was there was the late nineties for my honeymoon to show my wife the beautiful things of Big Sur, Monterey, SF, the wine country by balloon, and Lake Tahoe. We had the time of our lives. I would go back, but not to the urban areas that I used to like. I’d like to show her the Pinnacles, Sequoia, and Yosemite.

Ever hear of Peter Green who was the founder of Fleetwood Mac as a Blues band in 1967 but left in 1970?
Ever hear him do this song as a solo endeavor:
Peter Green - Jumping At Shadows
Peter Green also wrote & performed the song Black Magic Woman that Santana covered and made it a big hit. If you remain at the link you will hear him doing Black Magic woman right after Jumping At Shadows finishes. đ
The interesting thing about the song Jumping At Shadows is that Green was eventually diagnosed with schizophrenia and spent time in psychiatric hospitals undergoing electroconvulsive therapy during the mid-1970s. The song was actually written by Tony "Duster" Bennett who was based in London, his first album Smiling Like I'm Happy saw him playing as a one-man band, playing a bass drum with his foot and blowing a harmonica on a rack while strumming a 1952 Les Paul Goldtop guitar given to him in 1968 by Peter Green. He died in 1976 in an auto accident. I wonder it that played any role in Peter green's mental issues?
That’s the only reason I’d willingly go back, too. When I MUST visit my relations in the cities, I can’t wait to leave. It’s too depressing.

I never really got into Peter Green that much. Transformer and Coney Island Baby were my favorite Lou Reed albums. I had the song âKicksâ turned up too loud, loud enough for my dad to hear. I almost got my LP smashed!
She did some stand up comedy in the 80s and it wasn’t too bad.
