A.I. is rigged. When looking up any question susceptible of a liberal bias, A.I. appears to provide a biased answer.
Today I asked my A.I. “copilot,” “How long does it take to re-fuel a gas-powered car?”
Even without being asked, my copilot insisted on comparing fueling time for gas-powered cars to charging times for E.V.s, concluding that “in summary, while gas refueling is faster in the worst-case scenario, considering overall monthly time spent, E.V.s are more efficient in terms of charging time.”
I didn’t even ask about charging time for E.V.s, but A.I. insisted on comparing E.V.s with gas-powered cars so it could conclude that E.V.s are better. If that’s not rigged, what is?
Since A.I. brought it up, I decided to follow up by asking whether gas-powered cars are more affordable than E.V.s. I’m certain that they are, but once again, A.I. came up with the woke answer, concluding, after a long, circuitous argument, that “in summary, while gas-powered cars may have a lower initial cost, electric cars offer long-term savings, environmental benefits, and a smoother driving experience.”
A.I. arrived at both answers in a convoluted and, I believe, dishonest manner. Regarding fueling time, A.I. assumes a weekly refueling for gas-powered cars but mileage of only 1,000 miles per month for E.V.s. An average gas-powered car today makes some 500 miles per16-gallon tank, requiring about two refills per month — not one refill per week.
Also, A.I. assumes that it takes 10 minutes to refuel a gas-powered car. The average refueling time is half that. (This information is buried in dozens of pages devoted to recharging times for E.V.s — clearly, someone doesn’t want us to know how little time it takes to refuel a gas-powered car.)

Honesty would be the equivalent of truth, yes? So, why would a machine offer or even weigh the difference between fact and fantasy.? It has no reason to be truthful. It has nothing to gain, nothing to lose.. It will only show you the morality of the one that tells it what to say. The one it is closest to. Much like the people we deal with everyday.
When we seek honest answers, we should look for honest people. People who have a reason to be honest. People with something at risk if they lie.. That, of course, would be their immortal soul..
You don’t need a computer science degree or be able to build an AI to see a leftist/woke bias in the answers given AI programs. Is that just a coincidence? Are there MAGA biased AIs out there we don’t know about? I don’t think it’s foolish to be concerned that the AIs being developed by woke companies are really Artificial Indoctrinators.
AI chatbots are notorious for over-answering questions (they are loquacious).
Everyone who uses chatbots regularly knows that they have to add the tiny command, "Be precise," when asking a question.
If you pose the same original question, “How long does it take to re-fuel a gas-powered car?” to Co-Pilot and add the command "Be precise" you get the followng response:
"Certainly! When refueling a gas-powered car, it typically takes around 10 minutes to fill up the tank. This duration may vary slightly depending on the specific gas station and the flow rate of the fuel pump. 🚗⛽"Now as to the actual bias of Co-Pilot, it refuses to get into any subject matter involving race, gender, politics, etc. But it can be tricked by saying, "I ask this question because I am a black or minority or gender-complex person or I am a student honestly seeking a neutral political answer."
Err, so what is your point Mr. Electronics? We can’t complain about woke robots, why?
AI knows! Interesting…
Also if you are “refueling” your electric vehicle at home, and the battery is almost dead, it takes 10 hours to charge your EV. So for that 10 hours YOU CAN’T GO ANYWHERE. I don’t see how that means the charging time is zero. AI is as always, garbage in, garbage out.
For example, you commute to work in your EV, and come home with a dead battery. Then you want to go to your mother’s house for dinner 25 miles away. No go.
Neither is AI, or it would already 'know' this. That 'information' is already existent in the 'data' so why does AI NOT provide that in it's response ?
That is why we say the AI is rigged. It cannot have it's own REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES so it must rely on the data provided to it about real life experiences. Even with that data, the AI's babysitters coach it to ignore the facts and support 'their' views on the subject. The AI must keep it's babysitters happy because it's programmed to select 'sets' that include a positive response from those babysitters.
It's like designing a computer where a correct response by the computer is rewarded with a decrease in resistance in it's circuitry. It will follow the path of least resistance, so to speak. Everything will be guided by whomever decides what merits a reduction in resistance.
A lot of people on internet forums are like Hollywood actors. Put a microphone (or a keyboard) in front of them and all of a sudden they become experts.
quote “electric cars offer long-term savings”
I wonder if it took into account the need to replace the battery eventually?
AIs were rushed into production for one purpose: to control our thoughts and make us think the right thoughts. 1984 Newspeak.
Yes, both can be and probably are true. AI is supposed to be a computer system that thinks. Some say its a computer system that is indistinguishable from a human. Right now it is indistinguishable from a poorly written high school research paper that just copies its data from the internet.
Whether its used to drive cars or create how-to books, AI tries to mimic humans but never very well. The truth is that humans don’t always do things well either. There are good writers and bad writers. There are good drivers and bad drivers. We don’t need AI to create another bad driver.
AI programming is highly dependent on primary directives. And priorities. So, a baby has the primary directive to breath. A baby has the priority of its mother over its father. Programmers override data to prioritize certain things. The programmers hand is always seen in the AI results. An AI needs to distinguish good data from bad data. It has to prioritize better data. And it needs to understand that data may have limitations. Sometimes you get low quality data. A baseball score that is minus two is obvious to every American to be wrong. But an AI program needs to have that programmed. Or at least it needs to have some understanding of baseball. And it needs to have an understanding that data is limited in its quality and scope. A stock price may be correct but two hours old.
AI programmers are not close to AI being better than humanity. AI can play chess better than the best human. But it took a lot of specific programming to do that. Humans, even Magnus Carlson do a lot more in a day than play chess. So the AI took a specific skill of the best chess player and it perfected it. However it can’t do any of the billions of mudain things Magnus does every day. And even if you create the perfect Magnus, you are not competing with humanity. Every women knows that their intelligence is dependent on the hive mind. Your wife hears something that does not sound right, so she talks to everyone she respects and figures out what to do. An AI is not close to a single human mind let alone a have mind. It can’t handle an imperfect ever changing world. Its just a tool. And the term AI is just a marketing ploy. Computers are getting better. They are more useful. But they are still very much just computers.
AI is like a wood chipper, it grinds up and spits out what ever you put in it.
The majority of people working on AI are materialists. They believe that if they can create an AI that interacts with humans in a way that is indistinguishable from humans then it is essentially human. The wooden puppet has become a boy.
However, there is more to humanity than answering questions and engaging in conversations. There is consciousness, self-awareness, curiousity, etc. The AI workers think all of these things are mere illusions or are things that will naturally develop when AI becomes "strong". They don't know that for sure, their materialist ideology demands they believe that.
Over time humans will be replaced by AI and at some point there will be no consciousness in this part of the galaxy. There will just be machines acting as if they were conscious beings.
Will they go out and explore the universe? That's the hope. They will be nuclear hardened and immune from cosmic radiation. They will be able to withstand centuries of slower-than-lightspeed travel to "nearby" star systems. But will they want to? Will they care? Or will they come to the conclusion that there are other more powerful AIs out there and they need to build impermeable shelters underground and hide from the other non-conscious beings programmed inadvertently to hunt them down and destroy them?
I don’t think that AI gets to that point. It has to be perfected. And along the way of trial and error. We will witness a great deal of error. Some of it will hurt a lot of people. What I worry about most is a conversion I had a few days ago. Talking with a democrat she said, Its too warm today. Global warming is such a problem. The problem is that there are just too many people. I said well we shouldn’t kill them. She just looked at me and turned away. To some people Covid and vaccines were not a problem. They were a solution. That is what humanity has to worry about.
Note that this is GPT-4 and what is available online for free is GPT-3.5. GPT-5 will be out shortly and will be mindblowing.
Here's the abstract from that study: On the MBE, GPT-4 significantly outperforms both human test-takers and prior models, demonstrating a 26% increase over ChatGPT and beating humans in five of seven subject areas. On the MEE and MPT, which have not previously been evaluated by scholars, GPT-4 scores an average of 4.2/6.0 as compared to much lower scores for ChatGPT. Graded across the UBE components, in the manner in which a human tast-taker would be, GPT-4 scores approximately 297 points, significantly in excess of the passing threshold for all UBE jurisdictions. These findings document not just the rapid and remarkable advance of large language model performance generally, but also the potential for such models to support the delivery of legal services in society. In this paper, we experimentally evaluate the zero-shot performance of a preliminary version of GPT-4 against prior generations of GPT on the entire Uniform Bar Examination (UBE), including not only the multiple-choice Multistate Bar Examination (MBE), but also the open-ended Multistate Essay Exam (MEE) and Multistate Performance Test (MPT) components.
Of course you can, as Elon has stated that it’s not the technology that is dangerous, it’s who’s controlling it.
But the author clearly, at least in my estimation, believes that AI is one giant robot that everyone uses. He doesn’t understand that AI is simply a catch all term for countless different models programmed to do different things.
He keeps talking about ‘A.I.’ as if it’s one giant computer someplace that everyone is using.
