Donald Trump's beef with Jimmy Kimmel just keeps escalating...On Monday, Kimmel upped the ante once more by showing just how little Trump's die-hard supporters know about the world around them...The late-night host sent writer Blaire Erskine to a Trump rally in South Carolina with one simple task: Get Trump supporters to agree to answer a few questions from the American Citizenship Test...

I’ve got an idea: maybe Kimmel’s minions could give Biden’s Supreme Court justice Ketanji Brown Jackson a quick question or two about the reason for the First Amendment to our Constitution - seems to me that might be a bit more important.
Yeah while funny for a while I eventually had enough of Leno and his bit because of that. It was obvious that it was edited and selected and those who knew never made it to air. While I like trivia and general knowledge that stuff began to make me uncomfortable.
Citizenship is, like inherited property, something bequeathed by your parents. Trivial Pursuit is completely orthogonal to the subject. If you told her that her children could only inherit contingent on their performance in a trivia contest against unrelated individuals, she’d likely go ballistic, and rightly so.
Ever since Kimmel used the Academy Awards stage to embarrass Trump in front of the world by reading the former president’s scathing review of Kimmel’s hosting skills,
They mean:
“ Ever since Trump used the Academy Awards stage to embarrass Kimmel in front of the world with an on stage scathing review of Kimmel’s hosting skills…”
I took 2 or 3 times, just to see. It requires a little bit of study and a couple of practice runs but it’s not too difficult if you paid attention in high school government class... ‘course that’s not not taught any longer...
The most recent test has 100 possible questions. The applicant is asked 10 questions randomly and must get six correct to pass. It’s pretty basic stuff about American history and government, although some of the questions are fairly challenging.
I sometimes teach a class that people take to prepare for their naturalization interview. I tell the students they would wind up knowing more about basic American history and government than a lot of native-born Americans know, sad to say.
Do they still get all 100 questions and answers BEFORE the test?
Yes. They can get them either by taking a class or by downloading them from the USCIS website. All the curriculum, from textbooks to online resources, is based on those 100 questions. There is also a simple test of their ability to read and write English, and all the vocabulary words are available in advance as well. Anyone who prepares adequately should be able to pass the tests, unless their English skills are very low.
How can young people that attend public schools pass a civics test?
The public schools haven’t taught civics, or math, or reading in years; decades.
Or just ask her what a woman is.
Jay Leno has lots of Jaywalking episodes where people manifest frightening ignorance of some basic facts.
I remember those....scary.
They take a multiple answer test
Back when i became an American citizen we werent given the answers or dummy tests
We were given an oral test and no possible answers
You either knew the answer or you didnt
I got 19 of 20 questions right and thought I had failed...
That meant we had to study and learn everything about the civics and history of America
and know the names of all our politicians the POTUS our senators, congressman, state and local officials etc
Nothing was handed to us...
"What is a woman?"
Daily Beast? I thought they’d disappeared. Maybe wishful thinking.
Kimmel is a disgrace.
“Kimmel upped the ante once more by showing just how little Trump’s die-hard supporters know about the world around them.”
Kimmel went out in search of Biden supporters..., and couldn’t find any.
Ask Barack Obama how many states there are.
I guess he wouldn’t go there himself and do the interviews...
