I've bought a few just for plan B. I've eaten my share too on deployments and had my favorites. I detested the tortellini but when I got 'em I was hungry enough to be happy.

I guess this well fed terrorist bought the wrong meal for his delicate taste buds.

Back in the 80’s the worst MRE meal we had was a dehydrated pork patty. You were supposed to heat up some water and put it in the bag with the pork patty. The Army did not allow us to heat water with fire in a fox hole. We did not have any heater packs like the MRE’s do now.

Remember those MRE's could also contain a dehydrated potato cake. Good luck trying to get it hydrated when you only had a half canteen of water and trying to eat it dry was near impossible.

Same here back in the 1990s. Beef and pork patties were the worst (shoe lather). The spaghetti and beef stew were quite good.
