Judge McAfee’s Ruling Big Win For Team Trump
Nikos1121

Posted on 03/15/2024 11:17:45 AM PDT by nikos1121

Let’s all take a deep breath, and think about the long-term results of Judge McAfee‘s opinion versus what the knee-jerk thinking is among the conservative podcasters.

In my opinion, this may very well be a big win for Trump and the other defendants. For one thing, if Fanny stays on the case, that means she will need to answer questions regarding not only her indiscretions, lies, and other prosecutorial irregularities., She will also have to respond to why she went to DC and met with the Biden administration, Kamala Harris, and the DOJ. Nathan Wade, now is a possible witness.

On the other hand, if she takes herself off the case, then now you have the incompetent, Nathan Wade, or someone worse is in charge of things, and Fanny and her entire office may be in the witness seat.

In addition, Judge McAfee, removed the meat of the case, by dropping the six counts. The prosecutors now will have to go before another grand jury if they want to rewrite these indictments.

In addition, this whole soap opera is going to be delayed for months, certainly after the election.

I’m sure other people in this form will list many other reasons why this could very well be a win for the Trump team.

In addition, I think this was a pretty clever verdict by The Judge. He comes down as being impartial. In fact, looking like overly ruling in favor of Fanny and her while bf. On the other hand, he has put some obstacles in front of them if they choose to go forward.

Should Trump appeal the verdict? I don’t know. It doesn’t sound like Fanny and her boyfriend are in the clear. To the contrary, I think they have some explaining to do not only to the Georgia Bar and the ethics committee in Georgia but also to Congress and beyond.

I welcome your thoughts.

You brought up some other great reasons why The Trump Curse prevails.

A “big win” would have been a total elimination of Fani Willis and Nathan Wade from this case, and a recommendation for their prosecution.

I disagree 100%.

Disqualifying them doesn't end the case. It just forces the case to get handed off to another prosecutor.

If I am Donald Trump and I'm the target of a politically motivated prosecution, I WANT the case to be prosecuted by a ghetto slob like Fani Mugabe. As long as she is around, the optics for this case -- aside from rabidly partisan Democrats -- are very much in Trump's favor.

I stopped right there. If he can’t even get her name right, why should I listen?

It doesn’t matter one bit if you listen or not.

Why do you think she will answer anything?

I agree with everything you said, except where you stopped short of supporting an appeal of the judgement by Trump. Obviously that comes with some risk, but it gives him one of the main things he needs - more delay - along with another chance at a wooden stake to the heart of the whole matter.

One of the caveats of that is, however, that in this case McAfee still has the right to refuse Trump’s request for appeal, per legal experts on TV today. I don’t think he would do that, however, as he’s trying to at least give the appearance in impartiality, and already offered to allow the prosecutors to appeal something he ruled on earlier.

So you don’t think Trump should appeal this, and try to get Willis and Wade BOTH removed, which would not only buy him some much needed time, but possibly put an end to the matter once and for all? Better to just let a wounded Willis flail about? I can see that, but it may cost him some of the black vote he’s been heavily courting lately.

Well said!

Plus, if and when she’s able to prosecute this case, the team of lawyers that she’s going to be up against are going to skew her every chance they get when it comes to her credibility.

“This judge is a failure, and totally corrupt”

His ruling was certainly a disappointment.

Willis’ church speech was only tangent to Trump and other defendants; it was really a message to Judge McAfee - you can't spank black Fani in Georgia.

He could not stand up against that. I'm surprised he said as much as he did; to me it looks like he may have written things in his opinion that he didn't have permission to write.

The man could be at some risk in Fulton County, politically speaking.

That said, Judge McAfee gave her a hard row to hoe. She is now officially tainted.

El Wrong-O, the marriage exception only applies from the date of a LEGAL MARRAGE.

I'm not a lawyer, and don't play one one on YouTube.

“if Fanny stays on the case, that means she will need to answer questions regarding not only her indiscretions, lies, and other prosecutorial irregularities.”

Whose questions would she have to answer?

“She will also have to respond to why she went to DC and met with the Biden administration,”

Whom would she be responding TO?

Is there an organization or forum where this will be addressed? It seems like she’s free to do whatever she wants as long as she kicks Wade to the curb in this particular case.

“She’s stilll subject to disbarment.”

I doubt if the GA Bar will pursue this. She’d have to turn her miserable self in and we know that’s not gonna happen.

Agreed.

This judge is a frikkin’ coward. He only cares about his own ass, not justice. He’s now clearly a part of this railroad scheme. No conviction would survive an appeal and they all know it.
