A venomous snake is slithering somewhere in this picture... but you'll struggle to find it

A photo of a venomous snake barely visible beneath dead leaves has reminded Aussies to be wary of the creatures.

The pictures was taken in bushland near the aptly named Snake Valley, west of Ballarat, on Wednesday.

It was found by Hodgson's Snakes, a snake-catching business based out of Ballarat, who revealed the snake in question was a venomous lowland copperhead that can grow up to 1.7m-long.

The snake's brown scales can barely be seen as it's almost perfectly camouflaged among the layer of dead leaves on the ground.

Hodgson's Snakes' owner, Gianni Hodgson, told Daily Mail Australia they relocated the snake to the bush after being called by a nearby home-owner who found it underneath a pile of rubble on their property.

Not counting the Quokka who would like to kill you but can’t.

Far right center. At least rattlers let you know they’re there

I thought it rather greasy. I’d rather have catfish, pork chops, or chicken.

Look down for the snakes and crocodiles, and look up for the drop bears and flesh eating yellow crested cockatoos. In the middle are carnivorous kangaroos. Diving into the ocean won’t help, as the box jellyfish and great white sharks will get you.

We even have to look overseas to learn about dangerous snakes. Thank you Daily Mail.

In my youth, I had a summer job working as a rod and chainman on a raw land survey crew in Florida. That meant swinging a machete to chop brush and mark survey points through sweltering woods and wetlands loaded with snakes. For the most part, snakes got out of the way if they heard you coming, so we swatted the brush as we walked. I saw rattlesnakes, water moccasins, and a coral snake but never came close to getting bit.

It is impossible to see the snake, even when it is circled. There is only about three inches of the back of the snake showing and it is indistinguishable from the branches and leaves in the photo. DM likes to get you to click on articles so they can submit you a multitude of ads.

I found it, and quite a bit more than they had circled. Once you see what its pattern is, you can see more of it.
