Ferret, you out there?
Hope you haven't fallen out of your tree again...
the enviro nazis just scream while it echoes in thier empty heads
Bill gates wants to cut down all forests and bury them because his crazies say it’s causing the fake climate crisis ,LOL
Part of the overall plan to stopping “lumbering” in forests is to build up the groound level trash that will support a wildfire.
WFires are essential to supporting the global warming scam. When it looks about right a SocialJusticeWarrior will be dispatched to light it off.
This continues the taxpayer dollars that can be skimmed.
FOLLOW THE MONEY
As long as they don’t do it in Oregon the insane left is happy.
Envirowackos focused on the NORTHERN Spotted Owl because further South the exact same critter was thriving.
My husband’s cousin was a lumberjack in the ‘70s. Then the spotted owl came along and he lost his job. They managed to make do and started their own business but in the end his wife had to run the business most of the summer because he was out there fighting fires and making money hand over fist.
I forgot to say this was in Oregon. To top it all off when the kids were grown and the business was established and they had cell phones his wife went to work running lunches, snacks and bottled water to the base camps.
Are these clowns actually voted into office? If so who would vote for such idiots?
.
The Oregon Board of Forestry is a seven-member citizen board appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the state Senate. The mission of the board is to lead Oregon in implementing policies and programs that promote sustainable management of Oregon’s public and private forests. Their primary responsibilities are to:
Supervises all matters of forest policy within Oregon
Appoints the State Forester
Adopts rules regulating forest practices
Provides general supervision of the State Forester’s duties in managing ODF
Translation: To kill the forests.
The three pro-lumber board members were very well spoken and made excellent points, its just the tree worshipers outvoted them.
Forests for Oregon wants to begin homesteading the state lands since it controls 10,000 square miles of land. The Feds control 50,000 square miles of unused land. Can you imagine those numbers?
The way you prevent that is having a market for them so periodic logging keeps it economical to keep the land forested.
Check out a place where an area hasn't been logged in a long time. Walk in Franconia notch straight up from the northbound Basin parking area, then straight down to the parking lot to avoid getting lost. It hasn't been logged since the cleanup of the 1938 hurricane. You will find very little sign of birds or animals. Nothing for them to eat. A desert of trees.
Then find a clear cut, from a year to 20 years ago. Be careful to not step in animal crap. Plenty of birds. A clear cut creates an animal cafeteria with all of the berries, young growth, etc. they need to eat.
The Indians solved this, if there weren't enough natural fires from lightning, by burning huge tracts of land so the hunting would be good again.
Prior to the 1900s, there was no way to fight wildfires. Without the biomass power plants there is little market for the "trash wood" that is not good for logs, firewood for houses or pulp.
If a landowner cannot recover enough money to at least pay taxes, he may have to sell the land to developers or develop the land himself into housing, industry, etc. Trees gone forever.
The lumber mill in Banks, Oregon is going to close. Banks has a population of 2000+. Fifty-six jobs that the mill supported will be gone.
I understand, they decided to close because of the Dept. of Forestry’s restriction on certain sizes of timber and that’s what the mill was geared up to use.
Never forget...the government is here to HELP YOU?
They are appointed by the Gov, which is what happens when you have 40 years of Dem rule.
I was wondering though. Since you have a taped statement that the goal of the leftists is to destroy the lumber industry, would it not be possible to file a class action against them because they are in a conspiracy to deprive citizens of their incomes and livelihoods? When they make adverse decisions, shouldn't they be required to file economic impact reports? Maybe a lawyer or group of lawyers can look at it from that point of view.
