The Oregon Board of Forestry is a seven-member citizen board appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the state Senate. The mission of the board is to lead Oregon in implementing policies and programs that promote sustainable management of Oregon’s public and private forests. Their primary responsibilities are to:

Supervises all matters of forest policy within Oregon
Appoints the State Forester
Adopts rules regulating forest practices
Provides general supervision of the State Forester’s duties in managing ODF

The three pro-lumber board members were very well spoken and made excellent points, its just the tree worshipers outvoted them.

Forests for Oregon wants to begin homesteading the state lands since it controls 10,000 square miles of land. The Feds control 50,000 square miles of unused land. Can you imagine those numbers?

They are appointed by the Gov, which is what happens when you have 40 years of Dem rule.
