While we are in the FR minority, I agree 100%. She appeared to be chosen to appeal to the soccer mom crowd and is a winner.

Katie Britt was terrible. She was doing a bad impression of Sally Struthers. That was too much. Bobby Jindal should be really happy now knowing his SOTU response is no longer the worst response.

I’ve never cared for the opposition response, because they’re at a huge disadvantage compared to a President giving a speech to a full chamber.
As far as the Senator from Alabama goes, I missed her speech so I’ll reserve judgement. Also, I had never heard of her until today, which is on me for lack of awareness.

I watched her for a few minutes. I’m not usually negative but I thought sounded like an English 101 paper.
I think a lot of young women and soccer moms who emote the way she did on a regular basis probably lapped it up. Like someone else said, we weren’t the target audience.
I couldn’t get through it. I cringed. Scary!
Donald Trump is the Leader of the Republican Party.
I assume Trump could have vetoed - or at least made it known - that Senator Katie Britt was not his first choice.
White American Conservatives need to remember that we are a permanent minority voting group.
The Republican Party USA is the largest, and most diverse, political party in the history of competitive elections.
Without the GOP, American Conservatives would have almost no political influence at all.

I try to comfort myself with the idea that the folks here are not the mainstream audience the GOP needs. It doesn’t always work.
She is the youngest Senator and I thought she was good - a contrast when compared to Joe Hitler. That SOTU speech should have had NAZI symbols in the background. Nothing about the border and nothing about homeless veterans.
