A retired Marine One helicopter frequently used during George H.W. Bush’s presidency completed the trip to its final destination Tuesday, when it was delivered to College Station to be put on display at Bush’s presidential library and museum.
The massive aircraft — it weighs 4.65 tons and is 72 feet long — was trucked to the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum grounds on Texas A&M University’s west campus. The sight of the helicopter being lifted off the truck and moved into its permanent home in the soon-to-open Marine One/4141 Locomotive Pavilion drew a small crowd of onlookers, as well as staff from the George & Barbara Bush Foundation.
Andrew Card, the foundation’s CEO and a former Secretary of Transportation under Bush, said the president had a “particular affinity” for Marine One. “It usually meant he was going someplace where he wanted to go,” Card said, adding that it sometimes allowed Bush to briefly escape the burden of the presidency, whether it be for a quick trip out of Washington, D.C., or a respite at Camp David.

4.65 tons, about the weight of a tesla..
Too nice for a traitor.
Yes.
” it weighs 4.65 tons and is 72 feet long”
Or a Ford F-150 with offroad tires
Agreed. But one thing I'll give Bush Sr props for (pardon the pun) is his flying service in WW2. It seems fitting to have an aircraft at his library.
Just because he served in WWII does not make him worthy of respect. We have to get past that nonsense. Lots of traitors who actively aided in the destruction of the Constitution served in WWII. McGovern and Ramsey Clark also did.
He invited me to his house to talk about the TBF Avenger we flew over his place at Walkers Point. I will always honor his WW2 service. He told me that he thinks about his KIA crew every single day.
If George HW Bush is guilty of President John F. Kennedy’s murder, then there should be no library but maybe a dung heap for him.
Love your fair comment.
I’ve read many books about the JFK assassination, but don’t recall GHWB being a suspect.
GHW Bush is at the top of the list of suspected conspirators in the JFK assassination.
WTF are you talking about??? It most likely was LBJ....and his wife who had the most to gain, imho.
We must have very different sources......
The book “Family of Secrets” by Russ Baker is one source you should check out.
That GHW Bush is suspected of being involved in JFK’s murder is widely known.
Bush was at Dealey Plaza the day JFK was murdered, but when questioned regarding his whereabouts on that day, Bush tried to say he couldn’t remember where he was.
So Bush was clearly lying about where he was on the day of Kennedy’s murder. Photos show him to be at Dealey Plaza that day.
When JFK fired CIA Director Allen Dulles, Prescott Bush was enraged. Just one more piece of the puzzle.................
The flag was wrinkled on GHW Bush’s funeral coffin.
.....and the significance of that?
