At the International Platform for the Release of Civilians Illegally Detained by the Russian Federation, Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin said that 204 people have been served with suspicion notices in Ukrainian criminal proceedings regarding the illegal deprivation of liberty of civilians, 158 people are being tried in courts, and 33 people have been convicted.
Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin took part in the launch of the International Platform for the Release of Civilians Illegally Detained by the Russian Federation. This is an important step in the implementation of the Fourth Point of the President's Peace Formula. It aims to unite efforts to rescue thousands of Ukrainian civilians who have been abducted by Russia and are currently in captivity.
As noted, the first meeting of the International Platform, organized by the Office of the Ombudsman of Ukraine, was attended by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrii Yermak, Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Nikolai Denkov, as well as more than 50 participants from different countries and international organizations.
"As of today, 204 people have been notified of suspicion in Ukrainian criminal proceedings on illegal deprivation of liberty of civilians, 158 people are being tried in courts, and 33 people have been convicted," said Andrii Kostin.
The Prosecutor General noted that despite the ongoing work within the framework of national investigations and cooperation with a wide range of international partners and the public sector, there is still no effective international mechanism to ensure the return of civilian detainees to their homeland. This requires coordinated international efforts at the governmental level.
"The international community clearly sees and understands that Russia is using torture and illegal deprivation of liberty as a weapon of war. I firmly believe that the Platform established today will become a platform for developing effective solutions. We will not stop until all Ukrainians abducted by the aggressor return home," he added.

According to Budanov, we owe the successes of Ukrainian soldiers in Crimea to the inhabitants of the peninsula, whose resistance to the enemy has not ceased over the past ten years of war with Russia.
The Defense Intelligence chief explained that for successful defense and counteroffensive, Ukraine must control the Black Sea and Crimea.
All previously set tasks have been accomplished. Russia lost a quarter of its ships and was forced to withdraw its fleet to the Caucasus coast. The enemy has also redeployed its aviation, as Crimean airfields and military facilities are constantly under our fire.
“We owe our success to the residents of Ukrainian Crimea, who not only strengthened their resistance to the occupiers but also found the opportunity to monitor the entire operational situation on the peninsula and pass this information to us as soon as possible,” Budanov added.
Ukraine has also fulfilled another promise - in 2023, our Special Forces officers visited Crimea.
“New surprises await the enemies, and I would not recommend civilians to use the so-called “Crimean” bridge,” the head of Ukrainian intelligence said.
The Crimean Bridge, illegally built by the occupiers, has been hit at least twice. In October 2022, powerful explosions occurred on the bridge, causing significant damage. The head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk, confirmed that it was an operation of his special service.
In addition, in July 2023, there was another attack on the Crimean Bridge. Two spans were destroyed. Malyuk also confirmed the Ukraine’s involvement in this attack and noted that it was organized with the help of Sea Baby drones.

Maxar Technologies provided nine images taken of Bucha on March 18, 19 and 31 to Reuters. At least four of the images appear to show bodies on one of the town's roads, Yablonska Street. The city was occupied by Russian forces until about March 30.

Exactly. These eastern Europeans have been trying to take over this site for a couple of years now. They deliberately spam the site with excessive propaganda, they’re nasty to the Americans here who don’t want to see their spam everywhere, they try to bully, they try to censor Americans and they say incredibly stupid things like “Some Freepers just trying to “Make Russia Great Again” about American conservatives.
