Christopher Marlowe was a playwright and poet of the Elizabethan era and a contemporary of Shakespeare. His exact birth date is unknown, but his baptism date was February 26, 1564. His birth date is thought to be "a few days before." So this seems to be a February ritual of some kind.

The phrase "eloped the emergency room" may have been (mis)used because it has matching Gematria to the word February.
The incidents originated with the February 14 auto theft - they did not all occur on Feb 14.
