A U.S. Navy sailor has been charged with espionage after he allegedly leaked sensitive military materials to an agent for a foreign government numerous times over a six-month period.
NBC News reported Chief Petty Officer Fire Controlman Bryce Pedicini is alleged to have taken classified documents or other materials and passed them on to another individual at least seven times from November 2022 until May of 2023.
Pedicini is a 16-year Navy veteran who had been stationed in Japan.
He was working aboard the guided-missile destroyer the U.S.S. Higgins during the alleged document dumps and is expected to face a general court-martial before the week is up, the U.S. Naval Institute reported, citing a military charge sheet. The USNI reported it is alleged Pedicini made his first contact with an agent for another government on Nov. 22, 2022, in Hampton Roads, Virginia.
He allegedly met a person described as “an employee of a foreign government” six more times in the same place.
From May 8 to May 17 of last year, Pedicini allegedly tried to link up several times with a foreign agent in Yokosuka, Japan.
Per the charge sheet, Pedicini allegedly attempted to pass along images he took of secret information from a computer screen during those attempted meetups.
It is unclear what country the foreign agent worked for and exactly what kind of information was allegedly leaked by the career serviceman.

I first read the name as Pedocini.
Another possibility is that the “foreign agent” is just a broker who sells secrets to the highest bidder.
I understand that is a lucrative line of work for those who have the necessary contacts.
;-)
I think he worked for the FBI
I have a Honch that he wasn't just shopping at the Daiso.
That's an old uniform. The "blueberries" as we called them were phased out years ago.
He's an E7 now. (I won't call him a "Chief". He's certainly not part of the brotherhood that I'm a part of.)
Doesn't matter. He'll be an E1 soon enough.
Here's his Facebook profile.
Seven Seas. Lotsa room...
Hello Brother. Retired senior chief here. I got out just as they finally did away with the blue vomit cammies.
YIKES!
Good...
Now go after the Clintons...
The secrets they gave to the chicoms are 50,000,000-times worse...
Hello Brother, indeed!
I'm ready to retire myself. I just passed 20 last year and I'm on my sunset tour. I'll go to around 22.5 and then I'm gonna throw in the towel. I'm tired and ready to become a civilian again. My wife wants me to get a star but I'm not chasing one. My heart just isn't in it anymore and when that happens, it's time to go.
Anyways, being retired and all, you missed NAVADMIN 022/24 that came out on Valentine's Day. "Hands in pockets are now authorized."
Sis here LOL! Glad I retired when I did under the best CINC. I can’t even imagine being under that current one. I was supposed to get out in 30 but the covid fiasco was a major cluster. They held me for 2 extra years as I fought the retirement processing which came to a screeching halt. An 06 at PERS had to get involved. I don’t like the hands in pocket thing. Sounds awful. Could even be a security issue.
It’s a disgrace.
Shoot it

I always thought those uniforms were cool. Perfect camouflage if you want to hide in the ocean.
LOL Indeed! Hiding in the ocean! Of course, it goes without saying, no Sailor wants to hide in the ocean. Fortunately, these uniforms were not authorized underway.
One of the biggest problem with these uniforms was inconsistent fading. For whatever reason, the blouse faded much quicker than the trousers. They were also very expensive.
The current Type IIIs are also expensive but fade uniformly and have a general military appearance. But we look like Soldiers wearing them. We're not Soldiers. We're not Marines. We're Sailors.
If you ask me, bring back the old Utilities --a light blue chamois top and dark blue trousers (also not authorized underway). At least we looked like Sailors. And they were dirt-cheap to replace.
But you had to iron and crease them. Today's uniforms you can wear straight from the drier. Ironing and creasing has become a lost art.
My bad, Sis! Forgive me! And thank you for your service! What was your rate? I'm an AOC.
I was a soldier myself. My father was a sailor. He had a black dress uniform hanging up in his closet. It looked pretty cool. All I had in the army was the pickle green class A’s with a c@&t cap.
I'm leaving for RTC at Great Lakes, IL in exactly eight days.
I'd been a FReeper for over two years at the time.
Lol no problem. Started as SN, then DM. Was a 9.11 chief. Then BM, JO (made senior), then MC. Did a few years recruiter duty. Finished up in security forces and completed EXW. I loved my deployments to ISAF and CJTF-HOA. There’s parts I really do miss, but it’s hard to imagine how much has changed for the worse under Biden, even after 0bama. I saw your other post about your first MEPS post ín 2003. Congrats on making your 20!
