The fan-favorite Chizza is coming to America.
Why choose between fried chicken and pizza when you can have both? That's the exact concept behind KFC's Chizza, a genius hybrid that pairs a fried chicken base with pizza toppings.
Although the Chizza has previously made the rounds around the world, popping up in South Korea, Taiwan, India, Thailand, Germany, Spain, and Mexico, it will finally arrive in the U.S. on February 26 for a limited time.
Of the countries mentioned, some have their own variations on the Chizza, but for those in the U.S., the new menu item will feature two fried chicken filets topped with marinara sauce, melted mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni.
With the Chizza arriving in a matter of days, KFC didn't hesitate in expressing their excitement over bringing a "fan-favorite" to the States this month.
"Fried chicken and pizza collaborated to create something even better – the Chizza," said Nick Chavez, CMO KFC U.S, in a statement. "The fan-favorite mashup is finally available in the U.S. after making its way around the world – try it while you can!"
I might break down and go to a KFC to try it.
This ought to be interesting.
Sorry, I don’t want chicken bones on or in my pizza.
Meh. Now bring out bbq chicken pizza and we’ll talk.

It will become the new way to celebrate Christmas in Japan.
I will continue to get my fried chicken at the Publix deli as God intended, and it will not be adulterated with pizza. Which last I will continue to love and eat, separately from fried chicken.
“...fried chicken at the Publix deli...”
Love Publix chicken. Order ahead and pick up a box. Wonderful way to do chicken!
Where I am KFC has no drive thru and limited parking on a bad corner plus now has bums on the street nearby.
I go to El Polo Chicken instead, sometimes Popeye’s when I can get a bank loan for a chicken dinner.
Not as bad as Pineapple on a pizza. Canadian bacon OK - no pineapple
