If ever there was a likely political figure to seek revenge, it is surely former President Donald Trump.
And yet, he recently exclaimed that he will not seek revenge against those many democratic AGs, and lawyers who are recklessly trying to end his businesses and his private life.

Ok president Trump, if not revenge, then how about “just deserts”?
It would not be revenge if Democrat thugs were charged with real crimes and given fair trials before impartial judges and juries.
It would not be revenge if Democrats were investigated by Congressional committees where rebuttal evidence was allowed, unlike the Democrat’s J6 investigation.
If we do get a Pinochet type, his/her last name won’t be Trump, imho. Be we may get one if things keep heading the way they are.
Oh yes. Definitely agree.
Big mistake on his part. IMO
This is a preemptive strike by the Deep State.
By sounding the alarm that Trump will exact his pound of flesh from his enemies if elected, the Media now gets a free shot at Trump if he does go after the Leftist cabal. The message, “I told you so,” is a powerful tool when aimed at the simple-minded.
Why didn’t Trump “go after” miscreants when he took office? I seem to recall that every move he’d make in that direction (e.g. Comey, et al) was immediately construed by the left and the media (oops, redundant) as “obstruction of justice” w/ respect to the Russia collusion BS that began before day one.
He kept thinking that justice would prevail. I’d have thought that, too. We know otherwise now — beyond a shadow of a doubt. Trump is amazing. No other mere mortal could have withstood the relentless persecution and scrutiny for lo these 9 years and counting.
I’ve got his back b/c he’s got mine. God save Pres. Trump.
trump has no need to seek revenge: all he needs to do is enforce the laws, all of them against all who have broken them ...
I pray for justice.
LOL! That was sort of funny. Several FReepers correctly predicted that there would be no prosecution.
Exactly: shutting down evil does not equal “getting revenge”. One is an objective action, the other is subjective payback. Motivation is everything.

POTUS45 couldn’t even get “his” DOJ to declassify documents that the Chief Executive himself had cleared for public scrutiny.
How in the world would he have been able to get them to “lock her up”?
He would have been vilified by the press and possibly impeached (again) for persecuting a political opponent.
I’m a huge Trump supporter but if he doesn’t go after those scum I will not only be hugely disappointed, but I will sit back and await the destruction of America by the America haters that will stay in power.
If he gets elected he should fire any federal position that is appointed by the president and all the US attorneys in every state day one. Then go to work on the civil service snakes.
And don’t be so eager to fill them with “Republican” appointees, most of them are establishment country club liberal trash.
Day two, boot the entire media out of the White House permanently and tell them when they start acting like professionals instead of a propaganda organ of the DNC they will be welcomed back. Treat them like partisans in every encounter or interaction.
Question for you knowledgeable FReepers. Does the Eighth Amendment apply to states or is it for the federal government?
I want to see a lot of people hang for what they have done - but rather than Trump getting his revenge - I like to think of it as We the People getting justice.
In other words, I’d like to see Trump do everything in his power to drain the swamp, reform the DOJ, appoint Clarence Thomas-type judges and justices, and restore law and order to the nation - and as a consequence of those reforms, I’d like to see people hang.
I guess I want revenge but I would rather Trump not have to be the hangman. It’s an unpleasant duty and we the people should do it - not him.
At a Trump-Clinton Debate on Oct 9, 2016, Trump said to Hillary quote:
"I didn't think I'd say this, but I'm going to say it, and I hate to say it, but if I win I am going to instruct my Attorney General to get a Special Prosecutor to look into your situation because there has never been so many lies, so much deception, there has never been anything like it. And we're gonna have a Special Prosecutor."
3 minute 43 second clip of the above quote and Hillary's response:
It is a 3 minute video clip of a Trump-Clinton debate from October 9, 2016 where Trump explicitly states that if he becomes President he is going to direct his Attorney General to appoint a Special Prosecutor to look into Hillary's email situation.
👍
Yes. With a vengeance.
