Non-binary student, 16, dies after girls ‘beat her head across the floor’ in bathroom assault: reports
An Oklahoma teen died earlier this month after she and another student were severely beaten inside a school bathroom, according to reports.
Sophomore Dagny Benedict, 16, was involved at a fight at Owasso High School in suburban Tulsa on February 7, according to 2 News.
A school staffer finally broke up the melee after Benedict, a straight A student, and a classmate were battered for an extended period — reportedly by three older female students.
While her family’s obituary used female pronouns, mother Sue Benedict told The Independent the teen was non-binary and used the name “Nex.”
The heartbroken parent said the other victim was also non-binary.
The mom said Benedict was often bullied at school, and had fallen and hit her head during the bathroom fight.

This is a normal reaction to somebody who is deemed weird. Some of the less tolerant students will harass and bully the weird kids to try and get them in line with societal norms.

Parents would never allow violence like this at their workplace. Why do they allow their children to have violence in their schools? Why do school allow bullying?
It’s not right, but that’s how it is. As a bullied student, I know how it works and why.

Lemme guess...this creature had a “Y” chromosome and was obviously male when he was spotted in the girls’ room.
A mentally ill male was killed in the women’s bathroom. Was this self-defense? I’d lean to that possibility and conclusion unless he was lured there and intentionally targeted. It would be an interesting jury to be on.

From the pics, it appears that she was a girl.
I remember we had one Chinese kid in our junior high school around 1963 and he was razzed mercilessly. I’m sure the WW II effect was still prevalent then even though he was Chinese, not Japanese. He went on to be a fantastic concert violinist.
Kids were razzed, taunted, bulled for all sorts of things — gangly, socially awkward, fat, skinny, ancestry, zits, weird music tastes, unathletic — anything out of the mainstream. It’s surprising any of us survived!
