A mystery dog disease which began to sweep the US last summer is still being investigated. Vet labs in many states are looking into a new, unusual disease that's been threatening the pet population and worrying animal health professionals, who are working tirelessly to determine the cause of the mysterious disease and work on cures.
Described as a respiratory disease and pneumonia that doesn't respond to antibiotics, the symptoms of the new disease include coughing, sneezing, discharge from the eyes or nose and general fatigue. The illness is progressing quickly in some dogs, researchers say, with a few falling severely ill from pneumonia in just 24 to 26 hours.
Many dogs have died, but how many remains unclear as researchers attempt to pinpoint the cause of the mystery sickness, said Kurt Williams, director of the Oregon Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at Oregon State University.

Good for her. My husband received his heart transplant fourteen years ago…..doing great, completely normal life thanks to immunosuppressants. Just a little info, at the time of his transplant the docs gave us a warning…….the #1 cause of poor results and organ rejection, people stop taking their medication or take them sporadically, which we took to “heart” and accidentally missed a dose maybe three times in fourteen years. It is imperative!
New oral vaccine is launched for prevention of 2 canine respiratory pathogens

We’re retired and live on 8 acres. Our blue heeler has the best life. We used to take him to doggie day care and dog parks for socialization but not now. He plays with a couple of neighbor dogs who also run loose. And he does chase coyotes but basically herds them out of the pasture but doesn’t get too close to them. No butt sniffing. One of the reasons we neutered him was so that he wouldn’t go hang out with the lady coyotes.
Source could be that Chinese biolab in Cali

Yes I don’t doubt that. And the stool sample testing they push.
If I give my dog a de wormer, why is that testing needed? The Ivermectin in the dewormer will kill any worms that exist.
I need to find a country vet again, the suburban ones do things to excess
