The past several years, I have heard and/or read of how bad a businessman President Donald Trump is and has been during his life.
I went online to look for examples and it seems the stories that he is a bad businessman are from leftist outlets - CNN, NPR, MSNBC, the New Yorker, NYT, and so on. (Side note - does Forbes swing to the left?)
So I need assistance from my fellow Freepers and from Freeperland.
Is there an unbiased source of information concerning President Trump's wealth, how he obtained it, how he has grown his wealth, etc?
Thank you to all in advance who can/will provide this type of information.
All these things one can find quotes from his history of his real estate deals and they are valid, but has anyone ever read his life story written by himself in “The Art of the Deal”. I read it back when he started teasing about running for President. I had never watched anything about the man or his life. I knew his name, but nothing else. So I bought the book and found him a very interesting man. READ IT and see the real man. He is a bit of a germafobe so I doubt that he ever “picked up” a woman. He scouted them out first and married them. He didn’t say that, I just observered his life.
bttt
I lived across the street from the Trump Construction Company in Brooklyn and had the pleasure of meeting the family as well as working for Trump on the Taj Mahal project in Atlantic City. Fantastic businessman, but an even better Project Manager. Probably one of the best in the world. He has an intelligence network that rivals any on earth. He has to because when you are running construction projects around the world, you need to create, understand and mitigate results stemming from PESTLE analysis.
Were you married to him?
They say a lot of things.
And so far have proved none of them to be true.
Additionally, what they condemn in others is what they themselves are doing. They are projecting because they think others think and act like them. the left simply is incapable of understanding that not everyone is like them.
Hard to become a billionaire and be a bad businessman - and he did his earning honorably by creating things instead of preying on folks by selling ads and personal info like the mega billionaires have done....
I see some morons have attacked his character - perhaps they aren’t really qualified to toss them stones....
RE the bankruptcies…One day I looked at that. He had something near 300 different corporations. Less than a handful went bankrupt. His success rate was deep into the 90%-95% range. That is a very good scorecard.
Trump is a master sales and promotion guy. He made a decent real estate guy into a “tycoon”. Then he turned that guy into a “playboy.” Then he turned that into a TV star. Then politician.
There is a lot I don’t care for about the guy. But did/does something right.
They say that visitors to DC stayed at his hotels.
So, Trump enriched himself by getting people to pay $2k a night in a hotel with a 50% margin and then he reimbursed the Treasury for the profit.
Yup…he is gonna get rich THAT way. LOL
>>He multiplied a $400 million inheritance into a $5 billion (approximate) personal net wealth. I don’t think that’s bad at all.
Over that period of time, he could have done that in the standard combination of stock and bond index funds.
Yes, just as Paul McCartney is similarly an awful musician and songwriter./s
Donald Trump has portrayed himself as a successful businessman who has amassed a net worth of as much as $10 billion. But he has also led some of his companies into bankruptcy, maneuvers he says were designed to restructure their massive debt.
Used Law to Protect Interests
Critics have cited the Trump corporate bankruptcies as examples of his recklessness and inability to manage, but the real estate developer, casino operator, and former reality-television star says his use of federal law to protect his interests illustrates his sharp business acumen.
Trump said in August 2015:
“I have used the laws of this country just like the greatest people that you read about every day in business have used the laws of this country, the chapter laws, to do a great job for my company, my employees, myself and my family.”
Used Little of Own Money
The New York Times, which conducted an analysis of regulatory reviews, court records, and security filings, found otherwise, however. It reported in 2016 that Trump “put up little of his own money, shifted personal debts to the casinos and collected millions of dollars in salary, bonuses, and other payments.
“The burden of his failures,” according to the newspaper, “fell on investors and others who had bet on his business acumen.”

Even the Mob didn’t bother with him.
Further, 6 bankruptcies out of over 200 companies is a winning record.
For people living on the government teet, they only focus on the 6.
“He’s a bad husband”
BS. All his ex-wives said he was a good husband.
“bad husband”
Define that. What makes his such a bad husband?
What about Trump University?
I'm not here to bash Trump or to stir up your idiocy but even you have to admit that he's repeatedly picked bad people. Face it, own it. And, if he is to be nominee, how does he address and fix this?
You’re ignorant opinions are not facts.
His list of great accomplishments far outweigh anyone you are supporting for president. You democrats such at picking anything but corrupt politicians then you come to FR to troll against the Republican candidates.
