Prayers for his family and friends. RIP, Toby!
He was an amazing singer, amazing man, and a true patriot who loved this country.
Very enjoyable interview on Toby’s ranch, by Sammy Hagar.
(Sammy’s interviews are always fun!)

I read that he did 11 USO tours.
He walked the walk.
Again?
Toby Keith was one of the biggest names in country music and so his untimely death might merit more than one thread here. Sorry that offends you in some way.
On this I don’t mind another thread. His music makes me smile and he can take that thought with him.
Offended? Are you kidding I loved Keith.
Good! Most of us here did.
I have read he was a multi generational democrat, thought Obama terrific, and a Biden supporter. Please, please tell me I read wrong!
...ditto....and the melting snowflakes had hissy fits over the now-famous line, “....we’ll stick a boot up your ass....”
I liked his music and felt he was s true American patriot....
Well, I did a search for “Toby” in “Titles” and nothing about his passing came up...
You are wrong. From Oklahoma, big fan and knew him.
Housebound Freepers need to realize that the rest of us are always on the go and don't have time to scrutinize every thread that is posted here.
For example, I worked in Manhattan today so did not get home until after 7PM. Therefore, I would have missed anything posted prior to that time unless they were still gathering responses. Usually though, a thread has a shelf life of just a few hours before it drops away forever.
So duplicate posts are fine.
Right — I also looked in my sidebar under the various news categories, and if something had been there, it already as you say “dropped off”.
I’m not sure exactly how that algorithm for how long a thread stays in a sidebar category works. Sometimes the result seems a bit surprising vs. the response volume and timing. however, that may just be me, as sometimes I’m on FR a lot, but I might also disappear for days or weeks if I get busy.
I just reported what I read. May be internet agitprop, I know he was a HUGE supporter of the military which is completely incompatible with being a democrat. Ditto for his music.
He wasn’t but Garth Brooks is all of those things you described to a tee.
Garth Brooks killed country music.
Truth.
RIP, Toby.
