Classical Gas, much better.
Radon: another way for the government and their agents to exert fantastic pressure on home sellers and buyers using invisible means.
Want a home that was worth $4 million before a Radon test, and is now worth almost nothing because you are a few parts per BILLION over the “Radon” limit? Vote Democrat.
Thanks for posting. Radon is on my list of things I need to check. I keep forgetting about it.
Yup. Another Democrat oldie but moldy. This is the second time in a few days I’ve seen a radon article, so the word must have gone out to their propagandists to fire up the presses. I wonder if aerosol sprays destroying the ozone layer is next on the agenda.
RADON AGAIN? I remember when I bought this old house in 1989. My brother-in-law, who along with his mother latched onto every fad fear that came along, got that scared look in his eye and asked...”Are you going to have it tested for Radon?”
My simple answer was “NO!”
This was also when the news men were hyping the fear of electric magnetic fields of force around electric lines in your home.
The message here is to rid of radon, because the government doesn't like competition.
A new generation that knew not Radon.
And using both the media and government to push a product -- the good, old radon detector.
A more general observation. The same architecture -- using media and government -- has been employed to push mRNA products, electric vehicles from cars to buses to rail, the call for tax increases of all kinds, and of course war.
And it's all M A R K E T I N G.
Who has stock in the new and improved radon detectors?
It makes sense to test for radon here in Kentucky, where the clay soil can hold radioactive atoms. But when I lived in Florida, I was told to test for radon there, too. Florida’s sandy soil means both basements and radon are far less common.
Yes radon is a real risk in some parts of the country and if I lived in one of those areas, depending on specific home construction, I would test for it.
I recall reading in the Politically Incorrect Guide to Science that those areas with the highest concentration of Radon have the lowest lung cancer rates.
It’s called ‘hormesis’ as I’m sure most on this thread know. It’s a low-level constant stimulus of the immune system, that very same immune system that fights cancer and that same immune system that no longer exists in those who are vaxxed.
When it comes to our ‘enlightened’ government officials, they 1) know absolutely nothing and 2) are sociopaths.
This again? Lol. I already have my hole in the basement floor.
These days, you’re in more danger of being gassed by your government.
It’s always something, isn’t it?
If you’re in the Appalachians or their foothills, you should. My house in rural Maryland had a lot of radon in it.
I think this emergency requires the EPA to empty out their offices nationwide and hit the streets with testing kits. They should require all EPA employees to place 100 test kits in the taxpayers houses each day until all houses are protected. This is a crisis greater than Climate Change and requires emergency action by the EPA.

One of my neighbors with a basement (I do not have a basement, just a crawl space), found she had a high radon level.
In my case I am not care because I have a thick sheet of plastic over the ground underneath my house (why it is there) and the vents for the crawl space do a thorough job of keeping that area ventilated. Basically that is the standard protocol for radon. Ipso facto I do not have a radon problem.
