Follow me and find contentment, follow me to rippling streams, find a world that embraces free open spaces...come and follow me.....

Here’s one I’m really going to miss starting next season.

I wish the conference had bought the theme song and kept it.
I loved it when CBS Sports Spectacular used ELO’s “Fire On High”, then they used ELP’s “Fanfare For The Common Man”.
Give me some of that "thrill of victory... and the agony of defeat!"
Regards,
Same here.
Yep, where I grew up it was Sunday Nights. Wrapup the weekend sports. Tennis had some good themes too. ABC played this for tennis many times as a theme. It was during disco but it worked for me. And the CBS had that classic voice for intros...I think his name was John Robertson......he would go........”Live from the Boca Rotund tennis complex.....CBS sports presents the Lipton Tennis Finals”...and this song would play in the background:

To each his own
Actually it was CBS for tennis not ABC.
The World At War theme was the best, so haunting.
LOVED this album as a kid! I consider this to be the modern day “Planets Suite” by Holst. Victory At Sea very likely influenced John Williams’ JAWS.
Theme for Highway Patrol, with Broderick Crawford.
Tour of Duty used to use Paint it Black. But re-runs use some bland garbage.
CBS used to have good bumper music during NFL games. Like when a time out was called or end of the quarter and the music would play........they played this one many times as they ended the quarter announced the score and said don’t go away....we’ll be right back...circa 70s:

And of course the NBC Mystery Movie Theme from 1971. Columbo, McMillan and wife, etc.
Good theme:

Now even Nikki Haley is telling stories about how she and her family were teased and pestered by stupid backward white bigots in her "small Southern town."
Was always partial to the How The West Was Won theme

The Rawhide song is my favorite.
Phil Harris, Ernest Borgnine and Jimmy Dean (as in Jimmy Dean’s pork sausage) The first guy could be Ed Ames but not sure
Thanks for posting this. Reminds me that yes, there was in fact a world that I understood somewhere back in the misty past.
