Well, don’t let the former mayor of NYC, Bill DumblASSio, handle any groundhogs. He DROPPED the poor groundhog one year, it got injured and I think it subsequently died. So long as the groundhog is a long time pet and is treated very well, I don’t see how taking it out gently for a couple of minutes and then putting it back in its cage would cause it harm. Just keep DumblASSio away from it.
