JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (KTVI) – Freezing rain coated streets across the St. Louis region with ice Sunday night into Monday, resulting in several car accidents and ER trips for people attempting to navigate the dangerous conditions in their vehicles.
Even first responders were not immune from Mother Nature’s wrath, as videos recorded Monday morning captured the moment a firetruck from the Rock Community Fire Protection District spun out of control and nearly slammed into homes in a Jefferson County subdivision

When I was a kid in the 50s and 60s, you could still shoot real .22 rifles at the carnival. When I was about ten, I remember shooting out all the bullseye on the paper target and was ecstatic to win a big prize. The carney brought my target over to me and my dad, reached behind it and pushed the shot-out paper remnants up. He said “See? There’s still a bit of red showing. You lose!” It was the tiniest, bitty speck of red you could imagine. I thought my dad was going to kill the guy for cheating me out of my prize.
I learned a lot about life that day.

Disneyland, no. Disneyworld, yes. I was 12 years old when I went.

You’re talking almost 33 years ago, I doubt I was thinking to remember that, in case I would need that knowledge 33 years later.
