JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (KTVI) – Freezing rain coated streets across the St. Louis region with ice Sunday night into Monday, resulting in several car accidents and ER trips for people attempting to navigate the dangerous conditions in their vehicles.
Even first responders were not immune from Mother Nature’s wrath, as videos recorded Monday morning captured the moment a firetruck from the Rock Community Fire Protection District spun out of control and nearly slammed into homes in a Jefferson County subdivision

Ad hell, gave up.
I dunno. Looks like he slipped it into the driveway pretty straight. I give a 10 for style and nailing the landing.
WWBATS? (What would Bill and Ted say?)
It's even like the Galaxy Quest grand entry, without the mess.
Matterhorn had nothing on this. Woohoo!
I nearly put a fire engine through the front of the city community center when the new officer told me to turn on the ice covered entrance that went down hill. I said I didn’t think it was wise before I turned but he didn’t back off. 😁👍
By “Scary” ride, I assume you mean “It’s A Small World” in fantasyland.
Certainly coulda been worse.....like sliding straight into to the people shooting this video....talk about a POV!
No video at link.
Maybe you’re too young.
Last time I was at Disneyland was in 1980. We must have ended up there on “fat people” day, because we were constantly having to dodge double-wides pushing strollers. This was before you saw this everywhere.
Found it. More interested in ads than news.
Someone needs to overdub the soundtrack with someone shouting “Yee-Haw!”
I was born between 3 mile island, and the Iranian hostage crisis.
I’m in my 70’s. I don’t get the reference.
Chains don’t do a lot on black ice. It is not a thick crunchy layer the chains can bite into ... it is probably less than 1/8” thick, but fully ice.

I have never been interested in Disney sense I found out I could no longer shoot the Indians at Fort Apache.
That was about the time of my last visit, too. Ours was maybe 1995 when our youngest was four. Somehow that useless bit of trivia about Disneyland tickets stuck in my mind. Maybe it was the price sticker shock even back then.
