The NFL playoffs start this coming weekend and there’s one thing fans of all teams can agree on—it stinks that the NFL and NBC will be airing an AFC playoff game exclusively on Peacock.
That’s right, if you want to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play the Miami Dolphins, you’ll have to subscribe to Peacock to see the game.
The NFL has been getting into the streaming business the past few years, but this is the first time fans will have to pay extra to see a playoff game. And there’s a reason for that—money.
Here’s how much NBC is paying for this game:

Ari Meirov @MySportsUpdate · Follow Peacock is paying in the range of $110M to exclusively carry a playoff game. The game they are getting is a Chiefs / Patrick Mahomes game.

Can you do this every year? Or just new subscribers. I already have Peacock for the Supercross and Motocross. And Yellowstone when they decide to play it again.
Black Friday is usually best time to get a deal for it and every other streaming service.
The NFL is crony capitalist.
If you don’t believe me, check out who’s paying how much for the Bills’ new stadium.
We don’t whine.
We don’t watch.
We haven’t watched pro sports in years.
Upstate New York stopped being a viable market for a NFL team. So the Bills should relocate to a new city such as Austin or Salt Lake City where they can build a new stadium with private funds.
Private funds...
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I know it’s funny. That’s not the way it’s done. But they built new stadium in L.A. and NYC using private funds. Okay they’re the two biggest cities in the country. The point is that it can be done.
The Bills are basically Canada’s team, folks from all over Ontario come to their home games.
SoFi...
You forgot the $100 mil in tax breaks, didn’t you.
Citi and MetLife got sweet deals, too.
