Here we go again, the emergency plan for a possible Trump Presidency: make sure to throw the house to the dems, just like they did in 2018. Let them do the dirty work of blocking Trump because it was embarrassing in 2017 and 2018 when it was the GOP blocking him publicly.
All planed, like this entire congress was planned to mute and block MAGA. THAT is what the GOP does best, mute and block MAGA! And that is why MAGA needs to be a separate party.

Presents an opportunity to clear dead wood. Of course, some forecasts are GOP retaking Senate, losing House and maybe taking White House. I see no coherent theme for the House - like Newt’s “Contract for America” in 1994. Still time to get their shid together, but it needs to start NOW.

If he gets the WH, and the Reps get the House, they will resist everything positive thing Trump wants to do. The GOP is infested with RINOs.
Decline in legislative productivity is an issue?
It depends on the proposed legislation. If we have enough Republicans in Congress to blunt the worst impulses of this Democrat Administration, that to me would be a good reason to be in Congress.
Congress shouldn’t necessarily be judged based on how many bills they pass. If we had a Congress that passed no new laws, and actually repealed some legislation from the past, that would be very productive in my opinion

I agree. The GOP is not, and never will be, a conservative party. It is what it is; its wholly resistant to any attempts to change or reform it into a responsive party.
It is a soulless party devoid of any foundational principles or convictions IMO.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a party to vote for that actually stands for something?
