Former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming said she believes former President Donald Trump should be disqualified from being on presidential primary ballots across the country.
She added that there is no need to wait for a conviction or court ruling on the allegations that President Trump incited an insurrection to block President Joe Biden from taking office.

I remember during the presidency of Bush 43, folks in this forum calling Dick Chaney “Bush’s Brain”. High praise for him from many quarters.

As far as I know all that was found were a few shells with nerve agents but mostly enhanced WW1 technology “mustard gas” shells. Basically chlorine compounds mixed with baby powder.
I clearly remember Bush, Chaney, Powell and the other neocons promising they had Intel of WMDs capable of widespread destruction of the USA, an “existential threat”.
I bet it was always lies, great lies. I bet there was never REAL Intel just fakery like the Steel Dossier.

It is staggering though, to openly assert that someone’s RIGHT to run for POTUS should be stripped, based on only an assertion, without due process of law.

Spot on; I remember Bush howling some nonsense that if we didn’t invade Iraq over the WMDs, they would bomb San Francisco. Well, they didn’t bomb San Francisco, probably were never capable of doing such a horrendous act, but modern San Francisco looks like they did!
Bush, Cheney and his intel chiefs primarily relied on the lies of Achmed Chalabi, a crook and a thief who was probably an Iranian agent and provided them with US secrets on Iraq. Bush called Chalabi “the George Washington of Iraq” which proved to be really ridiculous since the Iraqi people knew what a sleazy bum he was and when he ran in the presidential election, Chalabi got all of one-half of one percent of the vote. Pat Paulsen would have done better.
