One of the most amazing episodes of the original Outer Limits TV series is The Inheritors. Robert Duvall stars in it. While science fiction, it is one of the most down-to-earth stories. No weird aliens or bugs. Whenever I see or read about Duvall, I think of The Inheritors. It is actually a two part episode, so it is almost a movie.
Whatever you feel about science fiction, watching The Inheritors will not disappoint.

He was in a great ‘Twilight Zone’ episode, too, ‘Miniature’.

He’s a incredibly nice man. My wife met him at a hotel she worked at while he was on a film. He treated everyone great. We have some autographed photos.
His co-star Faye Dunaway was a diva bitch.

Gus McRae was iconic. I think he was originally slated for the role of Woodrow Call, but upon reading McMurty's book, he chose to play Gus. Hard to image LD any other way. I'm not sure anyone will ever top his performance as Gus.
Happy Bday, Bob!

One of our greatest actors ever. I was so absolutely sure he would win best actor for The Apostle that I cried when he lost. He was robbed. Farrah Fawcett was amazing in it too. Happy Birthday 🎂

I do not know of a Robert Duvall movie I do not like.
One of my favorite movies of all time is “Tomorrow”.
