Many GenX, GenY and Millennials think Boomers designed this mess. We were on the bottom of the pile while our parents and the politicians they elected were living some Keynesian dream rapidly becoming a nightmare.

THIS is just what this stinking leftist government actually wants. Generations pitted against each other, blaming the other for all of its problems and not realizing that leftist NWO Government caused it all.

The only thing I can say to any generational member is that no one person in any generation is the cause of your problem(s).

At best, one can only mitigate their options by making good choices - in actually putting the meme “TINSTAAFL” into the options matrix.

My wife and I are "boomers". I was 21 in 1978 when we married. She was 19. We've both been employed full time over 45 years of marriage. We've paid off two mortgages. We intend to enjoy the fruits of our labor until we die. We have no obligation to give up our homes to improve availability of real estate to younger generations. My wife retired on Dec 27th. I'll probably work at least through Dec 2024. We have owned/occupied our current house for the last 23 years and intend to remain here.

My house has appreciated from $179k in 2000 to $361k in 2023. That is completely currency debasement and price pressure caused by people selling McMansions in CA and moving to eastern ID where there is a limited availability of homes for sale. The developers have been buying farm land and constructing large apartment buildings with fairly high rents. The hedge fund pukes like Blackrock send their hirelings in to scoop up lower priced homes and rent them at the high end of the rental range. It's hedge fund vultures not "boomers" driving up the prices.

Inflation has been a constant problem for decades and wages have not kept pace at all. It’s much harder to build a life today. Buying a house or renting an apartment can be very tough in a lot of locations. Many young people “get their foot in the door” with a job only to find out that there is zero chance of promotion or pay increases. It really wasn’t like that years ago (I’m a Boomer). Once upon a time, if you worked hard and played by the rules, good things would come your way. But nowadays a lot of people realize that the game is rigged and they are just wage slaves who are getting screwed by everyone.

It's because they've made the trades to be like bad jobs. Everyone thinks they need a degree and a starting wage of 90k a year. I know a few young people who got into diesel mechanics and autobody repair. The skies the limit for these folks.

Talked to a Millennial the other day. He and his girlfriend we shocked that his boss wanted him to start at the ridiculously early time of 8:30 AM.

In Chesterfield, Virginia if you are over a certain age, 65 you get your property taxes reduced.

After age 70 taxes are reduced to zero.

This also applies to the disabled.

With the younger generation, anyone older than them is a “boomer,” no matter how old or far back in history. And to them, “boomers” are responsible for every bad thing that has happened or will ever happen. They never take blame or responsibility, so I feel sorry for them. Turning to the Lord is their solution but they may not see it.

“They voted and got all these socialist programs for themselves.”

Not quite. The first national election the boomers could vote was 1968. Most of the damage was already done by then. In fact, you could say we elected Nixon, the supposed conservative, to stop it.

“Your generation also went wild on unconventional behavior.”

Not quite. It was a loud-mouthed minority that did most of that stuff. They got all the attention. Most of us reported when drafted and did our duty, or graduated high school and went to work and started our own families.

Mass immigration and globalized business reduced your standard of living. So has intrusive government regulation.
