Joe Biden has set his sights on grand plans for the New Year - after telling reporters that his biggest resolution is to 'come back next year.'
The president, 81, revealed his singular New Year's resolution for 2024 as he got into a car while on a winter vacation on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The clip, which was shown on Fox & Friends, showed a reporter calling out to Biden: 'Mr. President, what's your New Year's resolution, sir?'
Biden responds: 'To come back next year.'
The journalist pushes: 'Anything else?' To which the 88-year-old said: 'That's the biggest one right now.'
His comments baffled onlookers - with some taking his comment as meaning being re-elected in 2024, and others understanding it as literally coming back to the Caribbean paradise that is St. Croix.
Fox & Friends presenter Pete Hegseth jibed and said that Biden must mean that he is determined to 'stay alive' in 2024.
Johnny Jones said: 'That's what it feels like, right?' as Rachel Campos-Duffy added: 'That's what Obama told him, to stay alive.'
Reiterating what Biden said, Hegseth joked: 'I'm just coming back next year — which is tomorrow.'
Jones said that Biden ought to consider other resolutions, like 'don't let the dog bite as many people, don't let the kids get in as much trouble, maybe one is, I don't know, secure the border.'
This is alluding to Biden's German Shepard, which has been known for biting Secret Service agents, and Hunter Biden and the predicaments he has entangled himself in over the last few years.
Other people online took Biden's words to mean something else.
One person wrote: 'Joe Biden's New Years resolution is to come back (to St Croix?) next year! Awesome priorities!'
