As I settle in for an uneventful NYE 2023 "celebration" I am humbly asking fellow FReepers who are well versed in the vices of (esp) sloth and gluttony to offer their own personal recommendations for good weekend killing movies. Many thanks in advance. Stay safe...my couch is safe.

the Equalizer series with Denzel if very good...the last one though I thought was a stinker....
A few months ago, some FReepers suggested “Secondhand Lions” on a similar thread. Starred Michael Caine and Robert Duvall. It didn’t disappoint.
Also we sometimes pick a favorite actor or actress and watch lots featuring that person. Robin Williams comes to mind. He was a talented guy, and mostly funny, though played some serious roles at times.

I just re-watched “The Dirty Dozen”. Still fun. “Reacher” on Amazon. 10 times better than the Tom Cruise nonsense.
An off the wall pick: “Frankenstein’s Army”. What is Frankenstein’s grandson up to at the end of WW2, working for the nazis? A Soviet patrol is sent to find out. Bloody good fun.
Heartland is a great multi season show.
Miracle, about the US-Russian Olympic hockey game.
Good, clean light movie.
Well there are series available - which give you time to take bathroom breaks, get snacks, drinks, and smokes, etc.
First choice is the “Reacher” series on Amazon...
and then for anti-super hero stuff : The Boys.
You have “Deja Vu”? Great flick.
A HORN BLOWS AT MIDNIGHT, starring Jack Benny is a great New Year's Eve movie to watch and I think you can find it on line.
REPEAT PERFORMANCE is a GREAT Film Noir that begins on New Year's Eve and yes, it is on line.
THE LIST OF ADRIAN MESSENGER is on line and a really good movie with a great cast; lots of fun trying to figure out what actor is playing what role...many are in disguise and makeup that makes them unrecognizable.
New members are always welcome in whatever inebriated state they happen to be in...
