As I settle in for an uneventful NYE 2023 "celebration" I am humbly asking fellow FReepers who are well versed in the vices of (esp) sloth and gluttony to offer their own personal recommendations for good weekend killing movies. Many thanks in advance. Stay safe...my couch is safe.

“You could binge-watch all three seasons of Dead to Me with Christina Applegate.”
I don’t know that one. “Dead Like Me” was an amusing, undemanding series from the turn of the century, so were “Wonderfalls” and “Pushing Daisies” from the same people.
“Supernatural” is also alright. It falls off considerably in the later seasons, but gosh, they made an lot of shows.
“What We Do in the Shadows” is funny. I noticed this year that the actor who plays Laszlo was also in the British comedy series “The IT Crowd” which is also enjoyable. “Dead Pixels” was also one of many funny British shows.
That’s lighter stuff (except maybe for “Supernatural”). If you want something heavier, there are a lot of Scandinavian and French cop shows out there.

There is a 70s Brit action show with the same title.
Quite good, mostly sensible plots and a fair amount of action.
Pluto TV and I think YouTube.

To get started there is an early French computer animation called “La Faim” (Hunger) 1974. Then there is the French movie, “La Grande Bouffet” (The Great Feast) 1973, about a group of men who decide to eat themselves to death.
And of course, Monty Python’s The Meaning Of Life.
