42 to 3 and we're still in the first half.
“Kirby chokes when he meets his boss, Nick Sabin....Wanna bet Kirby is the next Alabama coach.”
Well, Sabin does get a bit of assistance from the referees each time the two teams play.
IMHO, Georgia got the worst deal - they lose one game by three points on a neutral field ... and they get dropped from Number 1 to Number 6?! You had two unbeaten teams in Michigan and Washington so they're in. But Alabama and Texas..... a case can be made for Georgia to replace them. Next season it will all be moot as they expand it to 12 teams (?!).
Why did they have a game after the season was over...re Georgia and Bama? Just like UW playing Oregon, who they already beat and who had lost a game? Scheduled games? play em all, with a playoff before the playoff? Stupid and silly.
Then you get Bama and Michigan on the West Coast, and UW and Texax on the East Coast. That is screwy, Washington fans are hard pressed to fill up an East Coast stadium, while Alabama will be the majority in the stands, because they travel better, and who wouldn’t rather be in California in the winter? It is a screwy system, they need to put 16 teams in, play those extra 4 games, and cut out a few games during the season. The conference championships for one, cut back to a 10 game season, with only Div 1 teams playing Div 1 teams. No posers like they do commonly.
EXACTLY like the Pro Bowl.
*** Why did they have a game after the season was over...re Georgia and Bama? ***
They are in the same conference but in different divisions. That game was to determine the conference champion, and Bama won.
“Michigan Texas final maybe.”
That’s what I would like to see.
Meatball looks like a total idiot for filing that butthurt lawsuit
That game was over after the first quarter.
LOL!
Me too. And I love all the rivalry games.
Money, money, money. Those conference championship games generate a lot of money for the conferences.
Just so. It’s all about the money, including the pseudo-professional playoff system. In many ways big college football as we knew it, is dead. Money killed it.

The rich only get richer.
I liken it to.. "Pro Football WITHOUT a CONTRACT!"
It's ALL about the MONEY.. and like Cyndy Lauper's song from decades ago.. "Money Changes Everything"
The overtime ordeal ruined college football.
She sang that song, but it was a cover from someone else, just as “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” was?
Georgia has won their last two bowl games by a combined score of 128-10.
Alabama barely beat a lot of mediocre teams. They only made it because the SEC commissioner bullied them in.
I agree - terrible game to watch.
Alabama beat the team that just beat the snot out of FSU. Bama was the SEC conference champion. The SEC is a far more competitive conference than the ACC is, and tonight’s game proved that. As much as anyone might hate Bama, they deserved the nod in this instance. The committee made the correct choice, IMHO.
