Tucker is being straightforward about it; while he won’t be Trump’s next VP, it’s evident he’ll still play a significant role in the 2024 matchup. And as you likely know, he’s fully endorsed President Trump. However, there’s a major reason he wouldn’t vote for Trump, and he’s already sending out warning signals. Tucker wants to ensure Trump is fully aware of the potential consequences of choosing the wrong VP.
(snip)
The reason is simple: Nikki Haley is a younger version of Hillary Clinton. She’s seen as a warmonger, a globalist, and someone who consistently yields to the left at every opportunity. In fact, it was Governor Nikki Haley who initiated the “tear down statues and monuments” movement on the left by folding like a cheap suit and removing the Confederate flag from the South Carolina Capitol. Nikki would be a disaster as Vice President and would work feverishly against President Trump.

I've been wondering when we will see the 'big switch' filtering out to Free Republic--where certain quarters are suddenly "Nikki is the best chance" and when asked about past statements say "who is DeSantis?"
I figure it is taking a while to frame a narrative that makes a candidate so at odds with "the base" seem palatable. Maybe they're banking on "Trump is in jail/off the ballot so now where are you gonna go"
Thanks for posting
Trump would never pick Haley as VP, so this is all just Tucker emulating Sean Hannity at trying to be relevant. Sad to say, cause I mostly like Tucker, except when he jumps the shark.
“...the ‘big switch’ filtering out to Free Republic—where certain quarters are suddenly “Nikki is the best chance””
I would not hold my breath, if I were you.
Trump has already said his VP pick is not from among the current candidates for nomination.
Don’t worry, it won’t be Haley.
I’d still vote for Trump but it’s a huge minus against him. Plus it puts a bit bullseye on him to have “removed” from office
I hope it’s not!
No, it’s Tucker using the power of his platform to destroy Haley’s chances. He despises her and has said so many times.
Hannity should not be mentioned in the same sentence as Tucker Carlson.
That has been my point. Trump going scorched earth on all Republican options is clouding who really is Deep State. I am certain many are; however, Trump has created an atmosphere where many believe he is the only option regardless of his status related to prison time and believe the polls.
I wonder how many ‘Ever Trumpers’ will consider his VP choice being a non-starter?
What if Trump loses Iowa? What does that mean?
I believe the polls are a psy-op to proclaim Trump the winner hands-down. The Dems/media/deep-state is certain Trump running will make it easier to steal the election again.
I see Trump backing off the abortion fight as well; that seems to be the only real argument that the opposition can win (more a statement on our culture than anything else).
They’re both house members which makes them highly unlikely.
I certainly hope not......I’ve seen all too much already of little miss I am woman hear me roar
Tucker didn’t say he would vote against a Trump/Nikki ticket.
Tucker is only saying he would advocate against Nikki, who is irrelevant anyway.
This is just a conversation about a hypothetical that has no probability of existing....ever.
Thanks, Mag. What you said!
Trump isn’t going to select NimRATa as his running mate.
Just as a hypothetical, if the choice were between NimRATa or DeSantis, I’d pick DeSantis in a heartbeat. I’m not a fan of DeSantis’ cozying up with swamp members, but I think he’s definitely more conservative than that dictator-wannabe NinRATa.
All of that aside, I am solidly in the Trump camp.
“Byron Donalds
Elise Stefanik”
I concur, even though Trump is from both of those states.
Would also think Abbott to be worth a look (though many on here find fault w/ him). I’m thinking geographic balance: Texas, important state where Trump DOESN’T live.
Trump faces an uphill fight in the 2024 election due to Democrat cheating, media lying, and GOPe indifference.
So I hope he picks as VP the person who will most help him win. That’s job one. Everything else with that pick is secondary.
If he picks Haley (doubtful), I’ll vote Trump.
If he picks Christie (ugh), I’ll vote Trump.
Etc.
Vote Trump.
