Thetr will be no shenanigans here.
Rene DeCartes, please pick up the white courtesy phone...
Black holes are racist.
I guess we no longer have to worry about global warming.
Go buy the book. Already covered, no pun intended.
A really painful one.
“some physicists claim that our universe is merely an illusion”
Hindus and Buddhists consider our existence as an illusion:

There’s a reason why this is from Popular Mechanics and not from a real journal.
Who knew that beauticians were so smart and well informed??!!

Everytime I read an article like this, my reaction is: I’m not too worried about it.
The possibility- no matter how slight- that we exist only in a dream, nightmare, video game etc. of a superior life-form has always haunted me. And when this entity awakes, turns off the player, whatever; poof, we are gone.
We are living inside of a computer program. Theorists show this is not only a possibility but a probability. Nothing in the Bible contradicts this. The next life will be real. This is only temporary. We are being sorted to see if we are compatible for the next level.
The older I get, the more I catch myself saying in my mind:’I don’t really care about that anymore.’
However, I don’t have a problem with this article. I don’t believe that this world is an ‘illusion’, exactly; but I think it is a situation - dimension, collective agreement, whatever - that we have chosen to live in so that we can *experience* things.
(And maybe we’re all just God, experiencing.)
yeah, these are the same people who think a man can become a woman...
Everything is true since we live a virtual life. Everything is false cause we live in a virtual world. Scientists cannot prove anything cause everything is virtual. Quit your job, Mr. Physicist.
My old philosophy prof had a theory that religion was used to understand and process scientific facts for the people. I asked him what religion would look like when theologians try to understand and process a quantum/virtual universe. He asked me if I was a philosophy major...
I think we can see what happens when quantum theory and virtuality are incorporated into society now. Witness a total breakdown of the concept of order. The people have become like their quantum physics “gods”, namely random, and having no basis for an external reality. IMHO.
I’m sorry but Plato has that line occupied at moment. ;)
