SCOTUS has the ability, they are the only ones, to reset this whole mess, and restore the dignity to the Presidency and Dept of Justice.
Take the name TRUMP out of the lawsuits, and it would be easy to see that the prosecutions are an injustice to this man, because, with ANY other defendant, all cases would be thrown out long ago.
In short, the SCOTUS alone can bring common sense to all the arguments and issues being raised here.
A 9-0 ruling to throw out all these ridiculous lawsuits against Trump and others, would go far to unite the country.
If it comes back 5 to 4, or even 6 to 3 a win for Trump, it won’t put this thing to rest but initiate further resentment of our system from both sides.
But, Heaven forbid we lose 5 to 4, or worse yet 6 to 4, then this country is doomed, as it will open up a pandora’s box of lawsuits from “our side against their side”, and give further incentives to the left-wing radicals in media, DOJ, and Congress, among other entities to go after Trump and other conservatives.
Most of all, it will destroy the balance of power in the third wing of our government probably forever. Any future or even past presidency can now be sued for just about anything, but also in civil court?
Think about that in the context of what Americans, since our founding have seen and endured. We need all three equal branches of government.
Surely, there is common sense somewhere in the system to put us back to a time when we had respect for one another, and where we accepted vote outcomes, good or bad, but when we also had the right to voice a complaint about the integrity of the elections, without facing imprisonment.
There was no Trump-induced insurrection, everyone knows that.
The J-6 demonstration was mostly peaceful, conducted mostly by Peaceful God-fearing Americans. Everyone knows that.
Dozens if not a couple hundred, FBI and other agents intentionally instigated some to not be peaceful. Everyone with any common sense knows that too.
For all we know, the people who rioted and destroyed property could have been Antifa or BLM or even planted agents.
The 44,000 hours of J-6 video have been released, BUT THE FACES OF THE PARTICIPANTS ARE BEING BLURRED OUT? WHY?
Every one of the lawsuits against Trump is politically motivated. Everyone knows that, and people like Liz Cheney and this guy Kinsinger are mentally ill for all we know.
Let us pray that the SCOTUS puts this whole mess to rest with a strong ruling on the side of what is fair and right for all Americans and future presidents.
If so, the Supreme Court justices are utterly confused morally and intellectually, and the USA is lost.
If true, if they will not, the Supreme Court justices are completely lacking in courage, truthfulness, and honor and will have failed their responsibility utterly.
If that be the case, the USA is lost.
Sonia Sotomayor would send Jesus to the gallows to advance her hispanic agenda and Kitanji Jackson is too stupid to know which way to vote unless Al Sharpton is in her waiting room.
I can’t help but wonder how much more humiliation President Trump is willing to endure before he says enough and drops out. The cases against him would be dismissed and he could move on to enjoy his life with Melania.
The country is finished and even if Trump prevails, the GOP will not allow him to accomplish anything during his next term...nothing. He will be blocked at every turn. Any thought that he will find a welcoming congress is pure fantasy.
I admire Trump and will vote for him again...but to what end.
He deserves so much better...as do we.

I think it comes down to them being not remotely experienced in the law to make lawful decisions.
I find them cowardly, when in fact they should be free to pass judgement based on the constitution not their politics.

Problem is, the left judges don’t see it that way. They will vote 100% politically on every issue.
The right judges, the good ones, will vote on each case independent of the politics.
At least that is what I hope, but lately, we don’t know how they will rule.
I find Kavanaugh wishy washy, and Roberts also.
You know how Alito and Thomas will respond, maybe Gorsuch too.

I am the poster, and I don’t give a prediction. I am hoping common sense prevails here.
The other thing, I would like to think the buck stops with them, and that they still hold a modicum of responsibility to reverse the nonsense we’re seeing now.
Both my court guru Zen Master and Robert Barnes agree:
1) This appeal by Smith was desperation for one of three reasons: first, as Barnes says, he ain’t that bright. He’s lost a lot of cases and his work in the Trump case has been amateurish; second, he panicked because he thought he’d get a bad result from the Appellate court (Barnes says this again was stupid. The chance of him getting a better result was from the Appellate court, not the Supes), and last, he panicked because of the calendar.
Zen Master (who has almost NEVER been wrong in interpreting court calendars-—he was off on the excact confirmation date for Brett Kavanaugh only because the DemoKKKrats brought in Balless Edsel one week out) says the soonest the Supes will deal with this is June 2024. So regardless HOW they rule, that puts the court calendars out to July at the earliest, meaning nothing will happen before the election.
Once you’re in the election “season,” the likelihood increases that the Supes and appellate courts will see this as “election interference.”
Moreover, the strength of Trump’s appeal for immunity ironically is Obama. If they rule a pres out of office is criminally liable WITHOUT first impeachment & conviction (which is what the Constitution says) then ANY prosecutor can go after Obama or W or any other living pres for any reason (”war crimes,” or whatever). Neither Zen Master or Barnes thinks the Court would really entertain this, and if he gets immunity in one, he’s got immunity in all more or less. Barnes: “Immunity impacts every one of the cases.”
By the way, from the beginning Barnes has argued that Justice Jumpin’Jackson Brown isn’t as bad as conservatives think, and that she is BETTER than Barrett or Kavanaugh in many civil rights issues.
I had this ominous thought.
If the president has no immunity, then that means, all the people who were jailed on J-6 can hold Trump responsible for their imprisonment, and they can then file a class action civil lawsuit against Trump.
The question then is, does the civil lawsuit pierce the corporate veil?
IF they rule that he has no immunity, then they sue him as a private citizen and he has to defend himself, and put his assets at risk?
It’s not hard to see how disrupting this will be.
Every president from here on out will be sued. No question.

No presidents will be “neutered” going forward because they will Democrats only from this point...
Will not happen...even if they rule against him, he will fight, and begin like Andrew Jackson, ignore the SCOTUS.
