At the time, there were theories floating around that the shaking was due to some sort of weapon, like a “death ray” aimed at her.

I think adrenochrome withdrawal is also a possibility, but I think a weapon is more likely. The main reasons I think so are

sudden onset
sudden intensity
suspicious timing (How interesting that it happened in a maximally public way.)

Happy to hear other theories and/or discuss.
