This criminally sick. In florida, lots of plastic surgeons and office based unregulated crap. If hours of surgery she was no doubt under TIVA (total IV general) and this sick bastard killed her They ran out of usual meds (no doubt propofol) and didn’t have the right meds. No crash cart. No oxygen. That means no airway equipment. And this criminal surgeon also likely was supervising some CRNA or “sedation nurse” and working away making his wife Barbie while she died in front of him not monitored.

Office based surgeries are largely poorly regulated and not a place to have a procedure more than a mole taken off.

Please, good friends, never have a procedure where there is not an anesthesiologist available. CRNAs will tell you the do just as well as us and it just ain’t true. Care team anesthesia is ok under medical direction which means an anesthesiologist is immediately available and has no more than four rooms to supervise and must be present at the most dangerous times and frequently throughout. Or request MD administered anesthesia only.

As for the surgeon, you NEVER, do anything on your family as you have no clinical impartiality. This surgeon should lose his license, and never be allowed to pick up a scalpel again. Sadly lots of plastic surgeons do freebies on their wives and girlfriends which is an ethical problem.

He before pictures and history suggest she has had at a minimum an abdominoplasty which is a perilous 4-6 hour surgery. She has had a least one breast Augmentation if not a reduction and mastopexy with subsequent augmentation and Body contouring usually involves a lot of liposuction which makes the patient hypothermic and many fluid shifts with electrolyte problems.

Because of the lack of emergency equipment she no doubt arrested and didn’t have immediate airway control or oxygen and suffered brain death. God rest her soul. I hope the florida board of medicine takes this guy and makes sure he never practices medicine again. He is a monster.

They still bill as if you are getting care from a doctor, though. Recently, the charge to trim my kid’s ingrown toe nail was like $1200. Just ridiculous. We saw a doctor for 5 minutes and everything else was done by nurses. A very minor procedure but still required referral to a podiatrist and 3 office visits (family MD, podiatrist and actual procedure). I had the same issue as a kid in the ‘80s taken care of in one appointment without all the rigmarole now required.

“Body contouring usually involves a lot of liposuction which makes the patient hypothermic and many fluid shifts with electrolyte problems.“

I’d wondered about this as a result of lipo. Thanks for clearing that up.

Would a colonoscopy with minimal pain relief be okay? I don’t want anesthesia, and “nothing” and “minimal” seem the best alternatives.

I just underwent a lumpectomy yesterday, and was very pleased that an anesthiologist was present throughout the procedure. He introduced himself to me during pre-op. Great guy, I felt very comfortable and relaxed.

LOL still peddling your “MD onllu” anesthesia schtick I see.

What a lie. You have no basis for your argument and I’ll put my skills against yours any time.

At least I had enough understanding of science to know THERE WAS NONE to support the covid scam shots. That’s a lot more than you can say for yourself.
