Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “The Last Word” that if former President Donald Trump wins the election in 2024, “our democracy, our flag, our Constitution, the future of our children” is at stake.
Anchor Lawrence O’Donnell said, “What are the stakes for the world when they hear Donald Trump say he would be a dictator on day one, if he is elected president again, and what do dictators like Vladimir Putin hear in that statement?”

When people like Pelosi (or Liz Cheney for that matter) say, "our democracy, our flag, our Constitution", I would like them to show me what they're talking about, because whatever it is, it isn't the flag and Constitution I know. And as for "our democracy"™, this country isn't a democracy, and what closest thing "their" democracy represents is the tyranny of the majority de Tocqueville talked about.
Nancy has already shown us what she thinks:

Nancy, “your democracy” is not my Republic. “Your flag” is a rainbow that symbolizes deviant sexuality. You don’t support the Constitution either, so STFU.

She doesn’t even believe what she says
Her crimes are at stake.
This is apparently their talking point until the election. They cannot run on their accomplishments. There are none (none that are good for America, that is)
This is now their mantra. We can expect the media to run with it.
I wonder what a Stalin-like “show me the woman and I will find the crime” investigation of Nancy like the ones they did on Trump would turn up?
Wow, Trump has the deep state worried. I am fearing for his life.
This is progress, the Democrats are pretending to be patriots. Democracy, Flag and Constitution all in one sentence. In fact, it may be a first.
And if Trump does get in, watch the shenanigans from the Senate on confirmations--hopefully that team that is put together to start on day one has figured that out--because if Republicans do control the Senate in 2025, you can be sure McConnell and others will be running interference precisely out of fear, especially the AG.
No, nanzi, it wasn’t at stake last time Trump won. In fact, Americans were much happier. All Americans had more opportunity, more money, much more freedom, and we didn’t have a bunch of useless wars to pay for.
One thing I would like to see Trump do is make sure that you, nanzi, have to spend the rest of your wretched existence in a place like GITMO to pay for the set up of decent people on Jan 6th. After that, you can explain to God why you should be believed to ever have a place in heaven.
Here are some take home facts from what I have seen this week in the news, other may challenge it.
1. There has been a ongoing attempt to demonize Donald Trump, to the point of calling him a dictator/Hitler/and evil with potentially murder of Democrats. See Pelosi, Washington Post, and Joe Scarborough on MSNBC. I firmly believe that they are doing this because they are DEEPLY AFRAID of the pay back that so many richly deserve for defrauding the public, ignoring the laws and subverting the election system and the Republic. They are now, IMHO attempting to get some wayward Democrat who drank the Koolaid long ago, to assassinate Donald Trump, or at least plan so they can blame it on a ‘Patsy’ when the intelligence services do it.
2. The Economic data suggests that the nation is doing far poorer than the Biden Administration or cronies wants to admit. There is a strong risk of economic collapse and bank failures far worse than 2008, with at Federal Reserve unable to ‘shore’ up the destruction due to government overspending and devaluation. Yes, if it happens it is going to hurt for a very long time.
3. There is strong evidence that young people, and many other groups, save the 35% communists in our nation, have realized that the Biden/Obama economic plans have completely and utterly failed them. They are now angry, and the media is trying to hide it.
4. There is little doubt that Biden, while Vice President, was in charge of an illegal lobbying group, probably used classified data, to ‘shake down’ nations for money to himself and said corporation. He was in direct communication with Hunter Biden’s partners and taking money while Vice POTUS. Clearly, Obama knew as well.
2024 looks to be a very dangerous year.
And why isn’t this “inflammatory rhetoric that calls for and/or provokes people to engage in an insurrection”?
