FSU earned a spot in the final four. Flip a coin between Texas and Alabama, but undefeated in a power 5 conference should mean something.
A total travesty. No one outside of Crimson Tide fans are the least bit interested in seeing Alabama in another playoff.
You misspelled the Asterisk Bowl for Michigan.
Never thought I would be doing this. But FSU got SCREWED ROYALLY.
They are only out because of a frickin’ injury. It took a miracle just for Bama to beat Auburn.
This Gator agrees. I hope FSU scores 100 in their bowl game just to show them. This is just wrong.
Proved what we thought .
Saban is running this ncaa playoff system .
FSU was undefeated.
AL almost lost to Auburn two weeks ago.
We will pass on these Rigged disgraceful games .
Saban has help destroyed the Ncaa football .
This Gator will join them.
Mich has an extra incentive the return of the coach, If the game is not in Tuskaloosa then bama has no advantage, Wash and Texas no slouches interesting year. I’ll take wash and any points being thrown round.
FSU did everything that was asked of them, even when they were down to their third-string quarterback.
Didn’t FSU play 3 of those ranked teams— LSU, Clemson and Louisville?
They went 2-0 against the SEC this year, including a road win against LSU, who had a national championship several years ago. They also beat Clemson who has two national championships in the past decade.
They deserved to be in the playoff over Texas and Alabama.
They went with third string QB last night and won and their first QB will be back for bowl. I agree 13 and 0 and no cigar.
Somebody had to get screwed. Bama probably had a tougher schedule and they did beat the NO 1 team handily.
But FSU was undefeated.
I think you’re right, it had to do with their QB hurt and they weren’t really impressive the end of the season.
LOL, great point.
I’m guessing if any of those teams had their starting QB hurt they would be out. Sucks, but it’s probably the right thing to do.
“Undefeated FSU was robbed.”
The University of Texas program is far more wealthy than FSU, and delivers far more TV viewers than FSU.
Bama should have lost to mediocre Auburn. And that was the week before the SEC Championship Game.
“Always the dollars, always the effing dollars!”
And Bevo has lots and lots of dollars.
Sorry, it wasn’t the injury, it was strength of schedule. Strength of schedule has always mattered. The injury may have been a secondary factor.
FSU hasn’t played a great schedule compared to other teams in the top 10. They should’ve never been ranked as #4 going into the game last night. This is one place where the committee screwed up.
