1. Spam Calls
Spam calls may see a decline as baby boomers dwindle. People have become more tech-savvy and have access to advanced call-blocking and filtering technologies. Additionally, regulatory efforts and increased awareness are aimed at reducing spam calls, making it less likely for future generations to experience the same level of nuisance and intrusion.

“Hello. Is Marsha there?”
“I’m terribly sorry. Marsha died early this morning. Are you a friend?”

I don’t think boomers are the problem. Government is the problem. Boomers have not created the bizarre policies that have allowed the country to self implode….the government did.
Of course, our current government was elected by the generation that is now complaining about boomers….
And WHY can books still, for the time being, being read electronically...or whatever using a Kindle version is called?
So then first editions are now "worthless", are they? REALLY?
If you hand wash sterling or plate, right after using them, you don't need to polish them! And some people still have others to do that kind of job. Other pieces, that aren't often used, do need to be polished. That's true, unless they are stored in tarnish prevention cloth.
Lots of younger people no longer cook or even know how to. So maybe that will soon become a lost art and bugs will replace meat anyway. LOL
Okay, so in the future, nobody will be able to write in script now print, nobody will read any books at all, they'll be told what to do, what to think, by their "betters", and be nothing but serfs because they don't know any better, because the past has been forgotten?
That's where this is all headed; or so it seems to me, from what this article and some things that have been posted to this thread would lead me to believe.
Not unusual. Parents often try to protect their offspring from the trials and tribulations they themselves had to endure.
Thus robbing the children of valuable lessons.
“It’s life man. We’re all very very temporary. “
Ecclesiastes 1:
No one remembers the former generations,
and even those yet to come
will not be remembered
by those who follow them.
And, some of these guys get so wound up on generalities: “My nephew... bla blah blah..”
I had a guy tell me that it wasn’t the boomers who made all that racket during the 60s. You know, Rock ‘n’ Roll, The British Invasion, Woodstock, Heavy Metal. etc. He told me it was the “SILENT GENERATION”. Funny, I never heard a peep out of the “Silent Generation”. Just crickets. I never knew they existed.
In terms of voting numbers, the boomers were the biggest voting cohort.
So, to the extent that who people vote for actually matters, the boomers are the most responsible for what the gov’t is.
Bkmk
As soon as I seen the title of this thread, I knew it was going to be a boomer basher post. And you started it off just like I thought.
Scarecrow Video in Seattle is an independent video store with probably the world’s largest collection of videos. Some of the videos require a several hundred dollar deposit in order to rent, as many have been out of print for decades. They have something like 130,000+ titles available.
Boomers split pretty evenly, or even lean Republican. Younger generations are heavily Democrat and give the Dems their wins.
Whoever told that about the 60s music was correct, just about any musician or band or young political figure people connect with the 60s was of the silent generation.
Wow. Are they just VHS tapes or does that total include DVDs? Either way, it’s pretty impressive.
We got rid of our VHS tapes last year. The player was broken, and we probably wouldn’t have watched most of those old tapes again anyway. So the whole lot went to Goodwill, and I hope somebody else can use them.

Boomers voted Trump.
While you aren’t an American you are arguing about American generations and their vote, so what generation are you and then I can tell you how Americans of that age group voted.
Because your reasons don’t matter. Whether or future generations keep these things is completely independent of why YOU think they’re important.
Plenty of times good things get lost in history. This is the 3rd time humans learned how to make glass. The first 2 times places got conquered and the technique just evaporated.
Good or bad, things just go away. I’m sure none of your family stories happened in the 15th century. Because those stopped being handed down at some point. And at some your stories will stop being handed down. They just will.

OK. So at the very least we can agree that the government is culpable?
In the late 60’s I had 6 cousins, 1 brother and an Uncle who served in Vietnam. There were 3 others including myself who were too young or in High school to serve. One lost his leg and arm usage, two others lost their livers to agent Orange. the other males learned to not trust the government, and raised kids that are fine working citizens. A few sexual deviants, one went to jail a few times, and a TRainwrexual. That is out of about 60 boomer gen, not counting spouses. Grandma had 9 kids, and the WW 2 gen had an average of 6 kids each.
Why do the children and grandchildren of us Boomers blame US for the crap THEY do, or their faults. Look in the mirror people.
There you go taking it to absurdism thinking that makes you right. Of course I know SOME people read. I told you _I_ read.
But that doesn’t change the reality that the percentage of our population that reads keeps on dropping. And at this in most small gatherings of Americans none of them have read a book in the last year. Sad but true.
Still way more work then stainless utensils.
Actually loss of cooking very much could happen. There are lots places in the world where apartments don’t hsve kitchens. It’s happened before. Most Romans (living in Rome Romans) couldn’t cook, it was all about street vendors.
The past is always being forgotten. Welcome to reality.

This comment has depth.
If those blaming the boomers can look at the past as justification for their circumstances, perhaps they may understand that their children/grandchildren may blame them for not fixing it…..and just maybe they will quit the blame game and join with who is left of the boomers to fix it.
