I disagree. We froze that stuff, IIRC, in light of the hostage situation back in ‘79, did we not? That Iranian regime overthrew the recognized leader of the nation, the Shah.

Forget about 1979. The Shah was only in power because the U.S. and Great Britain helped overthrown the elected Mossadegh government of Iran in 1953.
